Hes always been a bad snide off the pitch, as stated a few pages back, offering out fans, missing training, sarky comments on twitter, rowing with teamates cos he cant take criticism

Was a very good defender for us but ill always remember him as being a bit of a tit

Or maybe he was getting flak because he had the balls to confront the fans and answer criticism ? Look at Jags the fookin sh*thouse, every time we get beat Jags just sheepishly does one ! Comes out midweek saying the players are hurting, we go again on saturday blah blah blah, Distin had his moments yes, but id rather he acknowledge when things are bad rather than do a Romelu or Jagielka and [Poor language removed] down the tunnel ASAP.
Even John Stones - the 20 year old kid and barkley the 21 year old kid, thank the fans win lose or draw - more balls than Jags OUR CAPTAIN, ! By the way im a jags and distin fan, but i know who has the guts to answer criticism. I usually agree with you on most stuff sagey but you kind of flip distin off like he is responsible for this seasons utter crap - stemming from Martinez who distin happens to have fell out with. Eto'o and Mirallas being another two.

Players find it hard to accept criticism of a poor performance. I think most of us who have played sport will recognise this, it is years later with objectivity it is easier to admit to poor performances.

It is the managers job to manage and ultimately it is his decision. Distin may have been right or he may have been wrong, but either way RM is the boss, a boss who was happy to play Distin in nearly every game last season.
It's not as if he never gave him a chance.
There were a lot of players not performing throughout this season and I expect that there plenty of arguments between RM and other players as well, I am sure that happens at every club on a weekly basis.

It is rare that a row could last as long as it has or have such serious consequences for a player, but Distin is old enough to know one great truth :

The manager may not always be right, but he is always the manager.

Give it a rest lad no ones arsed

No one is arsed about what ?

Your slating the man who has given us a few years solid service all because he threatens to give us some home truths ? We can all see how poor this season has been and to blame Distin alone is poor. I thought you would have a more rational approach to Distin, dont let one bad run of form hinder your judgement on 4 or 5 years of solid performances.

Been a great performer for us but it was painfully obvious from the get go this season that he was passed it. Rightly binned off.

As for these home truths he might come out with, more like a sour grapes, hes never took criticism well, no doubt it will be everyone else fault but his own

Theres never an excuse to try and fight his own fans or mock them on social media.

Remember, there are two sides to every tale.

This is one.

Three sides mate, Distin's side, Bobbys side & the truth. Im sure there will be some exaggerated tales from both sides to force their point across.

We are all capable of being idiots towards players, especially our own because they represent our hopes and dreams for a club we love, every club has them, sometimes were more passionate than most. Of course criticism is hard to take for anybody in any walk of life, my point is that Distin always had the balls to confront people, some will say its stupid but then others moan the players seem out of touch or they dont care. I would rather Distin answer fans than do a Jagielka and run down the tunnel at the first sign of negativity. I would hope that martinez is right because he will be here longer than Distin it seems, liek someone mentioned above, to play Alcatastrophe over Distin was silly, to play Alcatastrophe over Distin because of a falling out is stubborn.

Distin's decline is/was inevitable. But two points that really jarr with RMs actions are;

1. Blocking his move to West Ham because he is still valuable and supposedly part of our plans.

2. It's one thing to fall behind the Jags/Stones pairing but to not make the bench ahead of Alcaraz??

I was told that Martinez had a go at Distin for something Distin thought Jags should be equally responsible for, Distin got it both barrels from Martinez, so distin told bobby a few home truths. At the time people laughed at me for this but im not so sure our manager is blameless.
Given the point of the season at which Distin was dropped was shortly after Jags' diabolical displays against Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal, I can see how there MIGHT be some truth to this.

What's the story behind him offering out fans?
One was some back and forth on social media until Distin said ill be looking for you at the match, the lid told him where he was sitting so at the end of the next match he went looking for him.

The palace one dont know what started it but he was trying to get into the crowd had to be held off by stewards
