Todays Times:

"Scolari will meet board members at Chelsea tomorrow to discuss the last seven days of the transfer window, which should bring a move to Everton for Shaun Wright-Phillips and the completion of the £28 million deal for Robinho, of Real Madrid."

Just found this on another site. Fingers crossed.(y)
I find it hard to believe some of the richer clubs have not jumped in Man city are supposed to be going to bid but we live in hope(y)

This one I picked up on a forum maybe Kipper I'm just not sure. Should be in the Times today though.

Little chin wag saying this could be a go as he may prefer us over City even though they are making a late run at him for 10 million. Heard when he left he didn't actually leave on good terms. Who knows at this point.

City cant afford a £10 player at moment, never mind a £10m player

Exactly, Thaksin has had all of his assets frozen, and is a wanted man. Hopefully he goes down.

Agree with that Dylan. Although no doubt he'll wriggle out of it somehow.

With all these calls for investment, I'm glad that we haven't got a character like that aboard at our club.

Scarey when you sell your soul. If Thaksin is indeed convicted of corruption were does this leave Man City. There were told before he took over. Could it be a major point deduction?

As far as I understand, points are only deducted if the club breaks the EPL rules. I doubt they could be held accountable for the actions of the club chairman, in another country, for which he was only tried and found guilty after having been appointed to the board. Assuming of course he is found guilty.

His Wiki entry makes uncomfortable reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaksin

"Independent bodies, including Amnesty International, who also expressed concern at Thaksin's human rights record. Human Rights Watch described Thaksin as "a human rights abuser of the worst kind", alleging that he participated in media suppression and presided over extrajudicial killings that left over 2,500 bodies in Thai streets and back alleys."

And we complain about Peter Johnson..

I wanna see SJP in Everton blue and maybe we could get that dirty Kim Cattrell as well.
