I said from the start of this season that we would be a top 5 team and I stand by that, the Southampton loss was only because we had 10 men for the majority of the game and we outplayed Chelsea for large parts of that match too. Today we have outclassed your very own team who took 5th last season. Are you worried though? That was a very easy victory for us, perhaps the most one sided we've had this season.

I thought this was a wind up. Now i am actually fuming he said this. He can't be serious.

What would you rather he said? Do a Timmy Sherwood and slag them off

The players know more than anyone else defence is an issue. Everyone has pointed it out.

He stood by Jagielka after the first three games and he's improving. Same with Lukaku.

He's going to look for positives. That's Martinez. That's how he works. The opening 20 minutes we did look good but then it went completely boobs up

i dont care if its a nothing game in a nothing cup or wether it was second string or third string .
they are professional players and everything about that performance was not good enough for any team above league 2.
the tactics were poor , the defensive play was poor , offensive poor , attitude poor , passing poor , energy poor, movement poor , team awareness poor , no fight , no pride , no ideas , no skill , no class , just disgraceful . the overall style of play was pretty much unwatchable and unsupportable.

martinez should take his philosophy on how to play football and just throw it in the bin.
