It makes me laugh when some think they're coming to "reasonable" conclusions when they're constantly having premptive moans .

Its agenda filled drivel really mate. Like I said. If he said we're in Europe - he'd be criticised. If he said nothing - he'd be criticised. If he said something cautiously optimistic - he'd be criticised.

RFUS is one who'd criticise him either way. Then say he's "reasonable"

Moyes - 7:

The good:

  • Started Drenthe
  • Dropped Timmy and put Ossie in his best role. The result on our style of play was dramatic and crucially, effective.
  • Gave Gueye a good run out and played most of the game with him AND Royston on.
  • Had us playing much better football, and for the first time in ages I actually enjoyed one of our games.

The bad:

  • Started a not fully-fit Coleman, in the process also inhibiting Drenthe (in my opinion) by playing him on the left where he is less effective. Although still effective mind, I think having our two best creative outlets on the same wing makes us more predictable.
  • Phil Neville in CM. All game, every game.
  • McFadden on the bench over McAleny and Vellios. Barkley stayed on the bench, but hopefully we'll see him out there again soon.
  • Some overly defensive things still persist. First of all he still gets every man back for corners, regardless of the scoreline or the opposition. Surely Drenthe would be more effective near the half way line, so we could have the chance to counter? Secondly, why is no one getting into the box? One killer Baines cross was delivered to genuinely no one, as our support is slow and often non-existent. Finally when we did score we seemed to change our style of play a bit and sit off a bit more, almost inviting pressure. I suppose you could argue that we were trying to counter but with our support being so slow and not forthcoming, I don't see that one working out.

See the way I included positives AND negatives?

You know, the basis of any reasonable argument.

From Danny's post:

"We have now got three away out of the next four games and that is tough. There is no point me saying this is the start and then finding we can't back it up."

So basically says the Moyes thinks all his players are ****e and doesn't think that they can put a run together in the next few games?

I thought the job of a manager was to instill confidence? Not shoot it down when the players look like they could pick up some decent form?

Can just imagine Saha being cheered up by the news, he'll have a right sulk on now.

Why do some people have to assume (or rather, use as a slight, whether they think it or not) that people are popcorners for saying what they think? Or saying that if you, for example, support Moyes you're "insane", "a lunatic" etc etc. Rant over.

mmm, May you joined, when was it Damon crawled under his rock cos you have obviously not encountered him before.

Chill out mate, it's not that big of a deal that our manager thinks that we're going to be in a relegation battle unless we really pull our finger out. It's not a big deal that we've taken 4 points from a possible 9 against this years promoted sides AT HOME. It's not a big deal that Moyes thinks Phil Neville contributes more to the team than Barkley would.

Not a big deal. At all.

Naughty, naughty. Those points ARE a big deal. What is NOT a big deal is Moyes saying we get to 40 points first and then see what we can do.

MMMMM, A Bit of Gouda on Toast.

Osman scored on Wednesday lid. What were you saying about him?

listen i know all about leon osman going back to watching him in the youth cup winning team , when for me he was the class act of the team ,to him going out on loan to carlisle , derby .so he scored the other night big deal in my eyes leon osman is not good enough to play for everton f c ,hes to slow to weak , if i trained 5 days a week no one would knock me off the ball at least a dozen times per game ,matty my little mate if you want to get into a heated debate fair dos ,but you well know theres only one winner ,unless you bring aston villas corned beef problems up ,then am fooked ,listen mate as ive told ye we r all toffs on here so stop talking to lads like there divs leave it out , merry xmas

I was referring to him using wikipedia over the OED when defining what a word means mate, not his opinions about Moyes.

Wasn't referring to you about the Moyes bit, but they have been said. Never to a specific person though... apart from Damon, like.

Yeah and you so looked for more bads than goods in there. No matter what. You're not objective or reasonable. It wouldn't matter what Moyes said you'd have a pop at him.

Actually there's four of each.

I elaborated on the final negative more as it wasn't as self-explanatory as something like "started Drenthe". It's obvious why that's a positive.

And do you know what, even if I did look for more bad than good... note how I still mentioned good points. When have you EVER said anything that wasn't positive/in defence of Moyes? I don't know why I even asked that question again because I fully expect you to evade it and post something about Coyle or Barkley, as you always do. You're consistent at least.

Didn't stop him putting it in the net on Wednesday did it though?

And some of em are divs. Especially that Chicoazul lid.

Oh come on. You HAD to elaborate on the negative more. You were naturally inclined to. Its the one thing you're consistent on. If there's any fault to be found, any blame to be had, you're one to find it lid.

Oh hang on, you mentioned Coyle even before I finished writing that post!

Are you actually a one of those bot programs or something?
