Summer transfer window.

There's a reason I put caveats but I haven't fully written him off yet...he probably needs a year out to concentrate on low-impact recovery methods while he's still growing if he's racking up that many of those kinds of specific strains but the Veruca Salt mentality will probably see that road not taken. I'd still keep one eye on what's going on with him as time passes but that's just me, obviously.

Rumours abound that he has a penchant for a little bit of nose candy every now and then

Delap is a very good dribbler for his size but hasn't shown much else. His floor has shown to be concerningly low. He can be a hidden gem but never at any point in his career has he given me any confidence that he will realize his potential.

He would be a bargain bin buy if Chelsea cut their losses and sell him dirt cheap. He is not a buy high player and I hope we don't overpay. Many players go to top clubs and can't make an impact though so I am open to the idea that he turns it around once he gets out of that limelight at Chelsea.

He was excellent at Ipswich to be fair

Double figures in goals in the Premier League in a very poor side whilst being a nuisance to defenders as a whole
Think he had a good season at Ipswich.

The argument however, is he’s now playing in a much much better side, with a much higher level of chance creation, and has looked terrible.

I’d swerve personally. If a loan with option then possibly but no way should we be forking actual money out on him right now.

Iraola would get booed out of our place by Christmas! Nice option for the romantics but for him to achieve anything better than what Moyes offers would require a level of patience that we, the fans, don’t have, IMO.
This same argument is trotted out for literally any manager that isn't an established, British (or long term PL established overseas), safety first manager. People said the same about Glasner.

Following that logic, we'll end up with who when Moyes retires? Which brass balled legend can stand up to the fury of the boos of the Everton das?

Or Ipswich played to his strengths coupled with him getting a continued run in the team whilst he's not had that at the PSR cheats
