Summer transfer window.

He was excellent at Ipswich to be fair

….not sure he’s been ‘excellent’ anywhere;

I think he needs to find a home as such. At Ipswich he clearly felt a bit at home but maybe at somewhere like us he truly finds his place. However I am never really overkeen on taking players who reject you to begin with. It was never going to work out at Chelsea for him and was silly of him to move there.

…..I’m just not convinced he’s that good, wasn’t keen on him last summer and even less keen now.

He had his chance to join us and wanted the chelsea bench instead. He not feeling us.

If we sign Jack then we must get a left back to get more frim Jack
Think he was interested in joining us, but club World Cup and Champions League was an easy sway.

A lot of our fans would have liked him here last summer, but he’s looked poor for Chelsea so I’m not sure on him.

I think I remember he gave our centre backs a tough time when we played Ipswich last season, and going from this video he had some good movement and finishing with both feet.

….he’s competitive, very similar to George Hirst. Beto is competitive, don’t think he’s a particular upgrade as we need quality.

Not sure why Delap is being talked about unless he’s been linked. Chelsea maybe realising he’s not what they hoped and trying to offload.

From reading here, it looks like he was mentioned by Paddy Boyland on a podcast that we would be interested again this summer.

From a pure numbers perspective, 12 in 37 for a p crap Ipswich side is good.

From an eye test perspective, I thought he looked good at Ipswich and was worth the £30m. He works both centre halves, has good hold up play and runs the channels, and has decent movement in the box, everything you need from a number 9.

This year he's been very underwhelming but hard to judge. For attacking players rhythm is everything; knowing where your team mates are, where you need to be and so on, but he's hardly been able to put together a run of games. The decision to go to Chelsea was delusional, which possibly counts against him but a lot would rest on the background check, players attitude, and so on.

If it's £30m I think I'd be happy with him as a signing. Anything higher and I'd swerve
