Summer transfer window.

Ismael Kone from Canada looks a player, I've just googled him plays in Italy with Sassulo, was at Watford as a youngster, Midfielder, at 23 he could well be too old.

This isn't me ITK...... I'm just watching a meaningless friendly that Jake O Brien has scored an og in.

But yeah Kone, get working on a contract Kinnear

Ins - Hackney, doue (RB), George, Grealish, Rohl (already done) and a striker

Outs - McNeil, Tim, Barry/Beto, Alcaraz

Would that be enough?

RB and the striker been no the key here adding balance and goals to our team. I like Myko but I would love him as a back up to an upgraded LB. But maybe getting one full back in is optimistic enough for the summer.

George hasn’t had (m)any minutes. But ie he the right option? Clearly can’t go after the same as last year who want European football.

This is the thing, they’ve had 5 yrs in the prem have been 9th twice, 10th, 13th and 16th. That’s success to Brentford, their fans are over the moon being mid table And earned 33 more points than an Everton team on its knees that has the squad ripped apart. 6 more points than us a season
If the next 5yrs we’re 9th twice, 10th, 13th and 16th. No Europe, no cup runs, I don’t think most of us would call it successful.
But i expect players to crawl over broken class to get to Brentford this season , because of their recent success
Players who sign for Brentford aren't looking for trophies, they're looking to get in the shop window so they can sign for Champions League clubs.

….nobody seems to mention Dibling as a possible ‘out’, either because we live in hope or because nobody would want him. Difficult one but interesting if the club are putting his name out there or if there was an offer. Maybe one for a loan.
We've ruined his value to the point where we can't sell him because of the book loss. Who would we loan him too? It would only be to a club in a similar situation to us, and to pay £40 million to make a rival stronger is daft. If he'd go abroad maybe we could loan him to a German or Italian club.

….the bigger problem with loaning him is if he equally struggles for game time elsewhere. Contrary to that, if he does impress we might recoup some monies. A foreign league might suit him.

If a player is ambitious then they certainly aren’t going to fulfill that at Everton. Unless their ambition is maybe an FA Cup quarter final and a flirtation with the Europa league.

Players go to the club that pays the most wages. Location probably the second factor.
I’d agree, but I’d say that usually the clubs that pay the most wages are also the ones that expect to be competing and have a degree of ambition to compete. For me there are four aspects to how a player decides. These are prospects of winning something (short career etc), wages, trust in manager and lifestyle.

Currently if you’re an ambitious, up and coming player, I think we as a club probably tick two of those boxes but we don’t tick the prospects of winning or the trust in manager. Other posters talking about history or capacity are delusional.

My fear which I share with many and which I think is being ever so slowly realised is that we had a bit of an opportunity to re market the club with the new stadium and new ownership as a modern 21st century club bit a year in and it feels like the same old provincial club just in a nice stadium.

So we've already got a small squad and you think were going to make it even smaller by the end of the window?

We need about 8 signings if we get rid of all those players. Not including players we already had this season.

I dunno the urge for people to get rid of Tim, and Alcaraz to a lesser extent. Good squad players.

Not a chance. Gana is going and the club want a number 6. We need a first choice left back and back up RB
