Totally agree but I've kind of given up on signing actual fullbacks, let alone fullbacks that get forward. I'm guessing we buy a left footed centre half in the summer and play him at left back.

I'd be a bit wary of signing Burnley defenders, tbh. Esteve looks decent but as a unit they've been pretty leaky.

He seems to be able to attack and defend when I have watched him, Id take either player tbh, I think Diouf's numbers are sightly higher of the two.

If the reports are correct then Moyes has used his veto to reject the full backs lined up by Thelwell & later by the current recruitment team.

As suggested by others on here it appears Moyes wants to play centre backs at full back so unfortunately if we are hoping for FB’s in the mould of Baines & Coleman we are going to be disappointed again.

That and like that diouf looks to have pace and the physicality for the league thought he looked good vs us. Also say have a grealish who like cut in would be breaking forward with better runs than we have now to create space
