Summer transfer window.

…..bit mixed I’d say. Rohl certainly been used but maybe should’ve been used more, Barry has also been used and I’d say both are certainly ‘part of the squad’. Obviously KDH a central part of the team. There’s only Aznou and Dibling who I’d say have not ‘been part of the squad’, Aznou low money, low risk.

Ultimately Dibling has been the big disappointment but the acquisitions have generally been young players and mainly ‘part of the squad’. The older players you refer to were inherited and I expect many will be transitioned out with rebuild over next 12 months or so. It won’t be instant.
Rohl has played around 600 minutes of football, mostly when Moyes had no other option than to play him because either Gana was suspended, at Afcon or injured.

Your point was about younger signings being the feature last summer, but Barry aside the rest have barely featured.

Rohl, Alcaraz, Dibling, Aznou, then George.

The combined Premier league minutes for that group of players is 1944 according to Transfermarket.

That is not a good return for the investment.

How many league matches has he started?

One?

You would have said the same thing about JOB under Dyche, yet he is the second best CB in our squad.

….i think he started a couple but no idea what you’re saying

i don’t get the comparison. O’Brien understandably couldn’t get in the team ahead of Tarkowski/Branthwaite, it was only Moyes’ foresight that played him RB. A multitude of players have been selected ahead of Dibling, he’s been disappointing, I don’t think there’s much doubt about that.

100 percent the beans.

Any flavour beans or just regular?

Regular beans, just a solid beans to beans midfielder that can roll around the pitch is a more mobile player than Soucek.

When Moyes signed him for West Ham a few years ago, it was a decent deal and they've certainly had their moneys worth from him. When we were rumoured to be interested at the start of this season, I paid extra attention to him.

He's so slow getting around the pitch. Once your past him he can't recover, if your on the counter he struggles to catch up with play. The one thing he's really effective with and why he still gets minutes is because of his aerial ability at both ends for set pieces. That's it. Nothing else. And that's what worries me with Moyes. It would be the kind of signing he likes not because of footballing ability, but aerial ability.

We desperately need players who can transition with pace from defence to attack and carry a threat without relying on set pieces. I'd be absolutely devastated if he rocked up at Everton.
