Have to say I’m concerned.

We were in good form at the end of last season, on an upward trajectory. We had a new manager, new stadium and new owners. It was the big reset. And then they couldn’t even convince Kenny Tete to join.

That set the tone for the summer, so god knows what crap will turn us down this year. First bet would be Wilson from Fulham.

The real telling thing to me, is that they constantly cite losing all those players last summer as a negative.

Think of Crystal Palace had similar, they viewed it totally differently. As an opportunity. It kind of sums it up to me.

Really should be seen as a positive rather than negative.

Sunderland signed around 15 players in the summer .
Almost every player they had on the field yesterday have only been with them 8/9 months.

They also lost a couple of their key players.
We lost our really poor players that were never being kept on.

Think we’ve all now realised that an entire new backline is needed. The full backs were always the biggest priority, but a season with Tarkowski and Keane starting together will be just as big a negligence as O’Brien being at right back.

He needs to finally be moved to the middle, to finally play his proper position. We can’t rely on Branthwaite all season, at least one new center back is needed now along with 2 starting full backs and back up on the right.
