Summer transfer window.

At this point my thoughts on the summer window is that we will talk all the right words about bringing in quality, strengthening the weakest parts of the squad and getting business done early. We will then be linked with every player going, when we get into the latter stages of the window we will release a statement saying how difficult it is to get players at the right price, how we won’t be bounced into paying over the odds etc. Then on the last day of the window we will buy a winger. Generally I think the next window will follow the pattern of the previous windows.
Now, when the next window is upon us I will forget all the above and believe this time things will be different and we will buy a pacy overlapping fullback who can whip in a cross and we will buy a centre forward who can score 18+ goals a season. We might even bring in a defensive midfielder to replace Gana. Despite experience telling me different the hope still kills me.

Just about Richarlison, for me personally there is absolutely zero sentimentality behind thinking he could be an option. I acknowledge his injuries as a negative and something to be wary of, but he has otherwise proven his ability to score goals in the Premier League.

Further, he is going to cost about five million pound more than we will sell McNeil for, and he isn’t going to be one of these vastly overpriced 40 - 60 million pound duds like Scamacca, Woltemade, and even frigging Isak considering he cost over 100 million pounds!

If Richarlison was crap, there would be no interest in him. But he isn’t. He’s leagues above so many other absolutely crap, massively overpriced signings at Everton and elsewhere!

We need to be spending about a hunny million net in the summer, providing we aren't selling Branthwaite to generate a war chest.

We know we need at least a starting right back and striker, so you'd assume that's the best part of 50-60 million just on those. I wouldn't be surprised if the club persists with Mykolenko on the left though, sadly.

We'll be spending 20 million on Roehl, probably another 20m on George, so that's already 100 million.
Well you can still loan and get a free transfer. We will also sell players, Myko( he won’t be our left back
Next season, not a chance ) Patterson, McNeil, Tim, Alcaraz and Beto. Worse case probably 70mil with a profit on
The accounts of roughly 50mil or 90mil if we’re lucky.

Also we spent 130mil last summer, the rumour is this summer will be more. And as we all know, you don’t pay it all upfront , with the extra revenue from the ground and sponsorship deals. Our wages have probably dropped a lot over the last few years, so we have a lot more abilty to sign players and balance the deals over 4/5yrs. The striker one is interesting, with Beto likely to go. Also it’s very early to say we will go for George, 2x full backs. A CB with full back cover, if Keane goes. A number 6 2x wide players and a striker. Maybe a loan or two. 150mil could be 50/60 mil on
Next years accounts.

Hopefully the ground , sponsorships, qualifying for Europe, will make it easy for us to make them payments early year and We will probably sell Branthwaite in a couple of years and maybe Ndiaye,

No chance, aside from the fact he is a massive yard dog, he is a walking card generator with some of the challenges he makes. Barry has shown he has a finish on him and if you look at his xG (6.64) and he has scored 5 goals so far so he is actually performing near to what would be expected. I really don't think some of our fans understand how little we create for the strikers during certain matches. We have the likes of Grealish, Ndiaye, KDH, Garner, Alcaraz, Dibling (not convinced on this one but willing to give it a bit of time) , George even Armstrong now but we don't know how to use any of them properly in an attacking sense. The 4-2-3-1 setup isn't so much the issue but the way we execute it and go about our business at times is as the striker (no matter who that is) is just feeding on scraps.

Mate Barry has been crap for 90% of his time here … he scored a couple of goals and had a purple patch … just like Beto did last year … but make no mistake … he’s an awful footballer … his all round game is miles off it .
Delap , works harder and showed last year that he can score a few goals … not saying he’s the next R9 … but he would have cost less and produced more than Barry if he did decide to move here last summer

Funny how were using our best 8 in KDH as our 10 and have our 2 summer signings who are actual 10s on the bench in Dibling & Alcaraz.

Oh, its not actually funny at all :(

I think Moyes will sell Beto in the summer with 1 year on his contract.

Then go for Delap again.

Quite surprising how Woltemade's seemingly suddenly been found out.

Or lost form? Did really well up to 13th Jan and since then taken part in 11 games with only 1 goal. That said he only played over 45mins in 6 of them.

Overall hes 17 starts in the league & 6 sub. 7 goals + 2 assists. Great numbers really. But seems like something may have changed.

£20mil Grealish
£20mil Rohl
£20mil George
= £60mil

I think we'll also get Delap at £30mil
£90mil

On Moyes signings. Without a full back.

Frightening really.

Don’t forget about 5m spent on 2-3 young GK’s that will never make an appearance

He can’t stay fit … doesn’t matter if he’s Pele if he is sat in the stands … and he’s not that good and we should be aiming for better … spurs aren’t exactly doing well and they’re willing to let him go

Couldn't disagree more, tbh neither of them are great but Barry is taking some unfair stick from fans, most of whom wouldn't know a decent player even if someone pointed one out to them. Also its hard to judge any striker properly in this setup really as its woeful in terms of creativity and support for them.
