Summer transfer window.

'It can appear as though"

You've tried this in your last post and it didn't work out as planned. There's no substance behind your post.

As for Branthwaite I think @Simon Buttle and I discussed it ages ago and my opinion was that he's our player and far ahead of any other centre backs when fit. Cost was sub £1mil so theres no real risk there on investment.

But I certainly wouldn't be signing a player like him for £70mil+ with that catalogue of injuries at his age.

No need to be hysterical

So you think that with the injury record at his age,we should cash in on Branthwaite?

It's nearly 2am dude, I haven't got the energy to be hysterical.

With Branthwaite you've got to look at all sorts of mitigating factors:

1: The managers ability to sign quality centre backs
2: The other players we have in his position
3: The clubs standing in the market
4: How much the offer is
5: Chances of him putting his injuries behind him if managed the right way

Etc etc

If a £70mil offer came in then I expect there would be internal discussions, while if he'd not had the injuries we'd reject any offer below 9 figures.

My hope for Aznou is that we loan him out to a Spanish or Italian club with no contractual obligation to buy. See how he gets on, revisit in 12 months.

I think this is a good plan.

How many full back are we better by linked with?
Recruitment must be all over this after three windows of research.

Just watch, Davey will have it raining full backs in the summer.
After three windows and only trying to sign one rightback, they must have something special lined up. I am expecting a Neville/Walker/Coleman in his prime love child.

Just noticed some Jarg rumour ( obviously just jumping off the back of the Moyes news )
saying Aznou will be handing in a transfer request..

Wouldn't normally post that kind of tack, but hey we've got a long break ahead still..

Seen a few jarg rumours over the last week

Garner, illi, pickford, anzou, KDH, myko.

Media thinks the vultures are gonna cherrypick they're way thru our squad.

Doubt it.

I wonder if it may be worth extending Beto and sticking with him and Barry next season.

I'd be tempted to do the same with Keane, Gana & Mykolenko.

Reason being that our money will go alot further if we kick the can down the road for some positions while focusing the money on others:

GK: Pickford / Travers
LB: Mykolenko / Aznou
LCB: Branthwaite / Keane
RCB: Tarkowski / O'Brien
RB:
CM: KDH /
CM: Gana / Iroegbunam
CM: Garner / Armstrong
LW:
CF: Barry / Beto
RW: Dibling

LB: Lewis-Skelly and loan Aznou
RB: Two players required
CM: One new signing
LW: Two left and one right winger

Thats already 7 new signings.

Rohl, Patterson, Coleman, Alcaraz, McNeil to bring in circa £55mil.
We can't go another season with Beto and Barry as our strikers Zat, that's a mad shout mate.

A new striker and fullbacks needed desperately imo.
