As for Branthwaite I think @Simon Buttle and I discussed it ages ago and my opinion was that he's our player and far ahead of any other centre backs when fit. Cost was sub £1mil so theres no real risk there on investment.

But I certainly wouldn't be signing a player like him for £70mil+ with that catalogue of injuries at his age.

I hope you don’t manage investments for anyone. The amount we paid for Branthwaite is irrelevant from a business perspective. His value is his value and we need to determine if it is better to monetise that or not. If we deem his value to us to be less than what we can sell him for (i.e. we wouldn’t pay the money we can sell him for to buy him) then we should sell him.

Ben White is actually in the top 20 of that list and he seems to be the one we keep getting linked too. Think he is just a slightly better version of O'Brien myself and Id prefer we looked at a different profile like an actual RB!

Yes, white is just another square peg-round hole kind of signing. He would improve us for sure and is far better than J O’b imo. However, we need a proper, modern day full back at a decent age.
