Summer transfer window.

Football is dying a slow death imo

Used to have tricky wingers back in the 60-80s and even the 90’s

Then the number 10 was the maverick type

James , requelme , Ronaldinho , zidane and may more

Nowadays the wingers are inverted and boring , number 10’s are defensive

The players are fitter but it’s very boring compared to the 90’s and early 2000’s
I just watched a James @ Everton highlight vid on YT. Just an absolute joy to watch play. A truely football tragedy that no fans got to see him live. A true Everton that. If there ever was one

Orri Oskarsson for our number 9 next season, who's in?
Didn't see the game, but just watched the goals. Apparently he made his professional debut at not quite 14 and scored a brace then too - albeit in the Icelandic 2nd div or something.

Skills video - mostly goals on the counter, albeit there are some instances of receiving the ball back-to-goal when closely marked, which is obviously what he would spend much of his time doing here.

Think Moist would rule him out straight away as not enough of a unit tho?

Has also missed most of this season for Sociedad with thigh knack and only started twice even when fit:

Ahh yeah that thigh injury explains why he hasn't featured much this season. I looked at his profile and he seems a sort of target man who works hard and has good movement and is a good all round forward who is composed in one on one moments. Still only 21 so a good age for progression. As for his physicality he does offer a physical presence even if he doesn't look huge but is still around 6 foot tall

I wonder if it may be worth extending Beto and sticking with him and Barry next season.

I'd be tempted to do the same with Keane, Gana & Mykolenko.

Reason being that our money will go alot further if we kick the can down the road for some positions while focusing the money on others:

GK: Pickford / Travers
LB: Mykolenko / Aznou
LCB: Branthwaite / Keane
RCB: Tarkowski / O'Brien
RB:
CM: KDH /
CM: Gana / Iroegbunam
CM: Garner / Armstrong
LW:
CF: Barry / Beto
RW: Dibling

LB: Lewis-Skelly and loan Aznou
RB: Two players required
CM: One new signing
LW: Two left and one right winger

Thats already 7 new signings.

Rohl, Patterson, Coleman, Alcaraz, McNeil to bring in circa £55mil.
