Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

For me Mangala is a no-brainer on loan providing he's able to get back to fitness somewhere near the start of the season. Lyon will want to see him get fully fit, and given they were previously open to selling him, would probably jump at offloading his wages to us and once again having a chance of selling.

We're going to need to utilise the loan market quite heavily seeing as we deffo won't be signing 5-6 players to jump directly into the starting XI.

Hopefully everybody at Everton has seen more than enough to not want to go anywhere near Harrison or Lindstrom again. That would be a diabolical statement of ill intent if they did!

The big oversight for us was in January when we didn’t try for McTominay. Always played decent for United, consistent if not spectacular but had an eye for a goal as he does for Scotland. Now bossing it in a very tough league to score goals.
If there was ever a more Moyes-type player……..
Aye said it often myself, he would have been brilliant here. Solid player, scores goal, has a great attitude and would have instantly improved us. I can't believe there weren't more clubs in for him. Sadly that opportunity has gone now.

If United would have had him this season they'd probably have finished a good few places higher.

I'd be tempted to give Reece Welch some minutes, likewise Roman Dixon. We're going to be very thin across the backline with Tarkowski, Branthwaite and Coleman crocked and our squad is going to look very different in the summer so it's a good opportunity to take a look at some players in a real, properly competitive match. I'd also like to see Chermiti get a run out ahead of DCL, if Beto comes off later in the match.
Moyes was asked about Dixon in a press conference a few weeks ago and said he’s not a player that’s been mentioned to him by anyone in the academy

Ya I think you could be right mate. Good player there if he can put the injuries behind him. Bologna captain aswel and they won the Italian cup last week
he looked good in that match and was more of a defensive midfielder. Would also love signing him, but partially because he is scottish as I only watched him in that match!

Magala is out until Christmas. I can't see us bringing him back. I imagine only Charlie will be bought out our current loans.

If you add Armstrong + promote Tyrer + extend Gana + sign Alcaraz = 16 players.

Mimic last summer with 7 signings = 23.

The Moyes and Kinnear comments are major hyperbole.

Yes i think its just lies...

LB: Mykolenko
CB: Branthwaite, Bisseck, Tarkowski
RB: O'Brien, Patterson

Thats a decent foundation and a LB away from a very good back 4.
What makes you think Patterson is even half a premier league footballer? Yes Jake can clearly do a job there but he will also be a defensive right back in that sense. If we are looking for players happy to get up the pitch and whip a cross or whatever then we defo need a right back.

Is that confirmed? I know it was a serious injury like. Still, September-October, if possible, definitely worth a look at imo and a calculated risk. Really good player who knows the club and is settled here already.

The first thing I will properly judge the new owners on is whether they will get business done earlier than previous years, and whether they will prioritise the key positions in attack over far less important areas.

These are the two biggest failings of recent years IMO, and I want to see they plan to go about things differently. We can't be waiting until late August to do most of our business. We need to be ready to start the season because we have been abysmal in August for far too many seasons, and points count the same whether they are in August, December or May.

Agree.
Ironically he's exactly the type of player Utd need and he would have been ideal at Everton.

….already signs that the new regime is more ‘hard nosed’, setting firm salary limits for Young and Doucoure. I doubt they’d waste a loanee space on a player who might not be available until the New Year.
