We should be massively to the good on PSR. Goodison should be laundered before the deadline to wipe out and legacy problems and set us up with a healthy warchest.

Said the same thing on another thread. "Selling" Goodison to the women's team before the 30th June could effectively give us a clean slate. Get it done, Dan!

The manager will be gone if they lose the Europa too.

I'd love one. Not sure where I said that mate. You said "top class midfielder or what's in our budget but we're OK in midfield" (I paraphrased a bit there). Hence my confusion

I don't mind a free transfer or budget deal if it's the right player. I just disagree that CM is the place we need it in.

Depends really. We need 6 in the squad for the midfield 3 (inc the number 10). At the minute we have:

Doucs - unlikely to be here
Gueye - possibly won’t be here
Armstrong - may well go on loan
Alcaraz - hopefully signs but not certain
Garner
Tim.

So that ranges from ‘we could do with a midfielder’ to ‘we badly need a few midfielders’.

Unfortunately wages determine 90% of transfers - we can’t compete with Man Utd on that front, however bad they are at the moment.

I think we will know much more and see activity after the end of the current financial year when most contracts expire (30th June).

I hope we don’t leave too much until late in the transfer window as it invariably hinders the start of the season.

To be fair that was my initial point that we needed a top class midfielder and not more cover, that looks like what your disputing, hence my reply, but no point in going over anymore ground with that. Put it down to our wires are crossed no harm done.

I think we keep Armstrong and one of Gueye or Alcaraz at least.

Angel Gomes is more like it, and would certainly fit the mold of a TFG signing

Would help us have a olayer who is confident on the ball then, still would like an onana tupe who has height and power in midfield aswell

If they beat Spurs then they qualify for the CL don't they? Surely they will want better/more proven than Delap.
