I think that reads "we can't have a 100k/week midfielder sitting on our bench for four seasons."

As far as the spending, we all knew that. We all knew we were going to need the loan market to help the squad this season.
Me and you knew that. Seemingly not everyone as already there are posters calling for TFG to go as apparently they don't want to spend any money ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The Mark Douglas article referencing Barry.

"Alternatives are understood to include former Burnley man Josh Brownhill, who is a free agent and scored 18 goals in the Championship last season. But with the club still needing to be mindful of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules (PSR), his wage demands might yet sink that deal."

Yeah clearly we have money to spend but definitely we can't spend as much as we want to. We need 4 or 5 signings and everything is currently suggesting we can do 1 perm and will have to make the rest loans.

Bloody hell we sound like a sad state of affairs. You just can’t make this crap up.

That low risk loan on Evan Ferguson looking like a big opportunity missed.

But that’s not because I’m knocking Barry, but we should have already known he’d not be ready, and that Beto is a donkey.

Would like to see Beto shown the door tbh, while he still has resale. Replace him with a starting striker and use Barry and Chermiti as options, and even Ndiaye at times
For the amount of money we have, and the limited strikers out there, who do we replace him with and get a RW in?

Still think Delap would have done a job for us. Proper Moyes player who would have caused problems and get you a solid 15 goals per season.

Still perplexed he’s happy to warm a bench for the rest of his career.
He's been poorly advised.

Some agents only see the very next deal. Chelsea was the deal that was always going to spin the money short term, longer term for his career we were without doubt the better option.

The hilarious part is we’d probably be able to afford his wages if we weren’t paying Coleman to sit in the corner and clap at everyone.
