Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

One thing I've no with the Friedkins is that they've made mistakes at Roma but they usually acknowledge them and are willing to address those flaws instead of being oblivious or obstinate so hopefully they're willing to take steps from averting a similar predicament from transpiring again once we get we need in this window

I wish they'd address the club they have bought doesnt have a left back or right back to start.

The owners should be giving the recruitment team power to overrule Moyes, if it’s true that he is insisting on Premier League experience and holding up transfers. Personally I don’t see why he would be putting such stupid limitations on himself and making his job harder, but it needs to be made clear to everyone what the hierarchy at the football club is. And the Leeds losers need to have the minerals to stand up to him and have convictions in their own decision making. A CEO and head of recruitment being bullied around by a manager is the sign of complete dysfunction and not how a football club in 2025 is supposed to operate.
Moyes just won't use the players if they don't tick his boxes.

Forest a more attractive club for players compared to us.

Sad day.
What cheeses me off more are all these clubs that were a league or two lower a couple of seasons ago, come up and just seem to pass us. They may very well end up lower again in future, but Newcastle, Villa, and Forest were all in the Championship between a few years ago, got promoted, two of them have played in CL, and one is now in Europe.

Wherever he goes he won’t be on £90k a week just like DCL didn’t get the fabled £150k a week that he was apparently holding out for.

But yes, I do want a midfielder on a free who’s an instant upgrade on all of ours.
Instant upgrade? That's debatable as his best season was in the Championship. So tell me if he's such an upgrade why haven't any other Premier League clubs snapped him up? Why isn't there even a suggestion of a bidding war for his signature? Why at nearly 30 has his playing career been mostly Championship?

Like I stated previously I completely fathom why people are perturbed along with the fact we never plan contingencies we always just assume everything will go as planned with both branthwaite and mykolenko staying fit, then it's catastrophe time because we have no legitimate alternatives that don't put us at a disadvantage

Other teams haven’t snapped him up because they’ve got better midfielders. We haven’t, we’ve got worse midfield options than Sunderland mate.

When was Tim Iroegbunam’s best season? And James Garner’s?

*looks and sees that they were both in the Championship*

Listening to the podcast from Bobble.

Transfer Committee can not agree the way forward on targets and how to spend the money we have left. Also can not agree if they want youth or experience.

They both seem pretty positive normally but worry setting in.

The words "can not agree" keeps getting said
Moyes was an appointment of convenience really given that I don’t think TFG expected Dyche to throw in the towel. Even though he did well in the second half of last season, I do wonder if that’s set us back a little by him having different footballing philosophy to the recruitment team
