Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Something to offset the pain and highlight how absurd the window is - Chelsea are number 6 on the same list, spoiled brats

6. Chelsea

A club that has signed 49 senior players in three years at a cost of around £1.5billion is never far from buying someone, panic or no panic. If Enzo Maresca had his way, Chelsea would be steaming into the market for a centre-back following Levi Colwill’s long-term injury, but so far the club appear to be telling him to make do with the 12 senior defenders that remain available to him (No joke. That’s the real number). However, after mustering only three shots on target against Palace on Sunday, expect them to spend £70m on a new striker who’ll get a 12-year contract then be loaned to Strasbourg in January.

Its wild isn't it? I was reading about the N'kunku and Jackson contracts and prices earlier this morning on the way in to work. Long contracts and they are expecting to realise twice the price they paid for both Jackson and N'kunku.... They still have Sterling on 300k a week and I'd forgotten all about Ben Chilwell.

They're also in the Europa League

Honestly though, how important is a season in the Europa League compared to an extra £10k a week over 5 years at a bigger club? We should have been blowing Forest away this summer.

The narrative now is that they are having a great window and we are having a disappointing one - and that’s on us.

They don't have it in for us, a one eyed dog could see we're at panic stations.
We're at DEFCON5, make no mistake. Pissy pants levels are off the scale. The Athletic hasn't the first idea of how bad things really are. Guaranteed sheet shortage imminent in the North West. United fans getting concerned as a result.

It’s August 20th, your bedwetter shout has lost what little effectiveness it ever had.

It seems to have an impact i don't get it myself, the collective memory of players unless it's like a united or Chelsea they seem to focus on the most recent aspect of success even if it's a one off season. Forest are known to splurge as well, at the same time they didn't start making this slew of signings until a couple weeks ago.
