Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He isn't really the ideal midfielder that's why, poor numbers for passing and defensive stuff, folk want him because he had a purple patch last season and scored a load of goals, as a midfielder he is pony though.
It’s unbelievable our fan base, the love for brownhill is incredible, ( this is on another site I’ve just been on) this was one reason I didn’t want Moyes back for signings like this, if it happens of course
This obsession with prem experience drives me mad
Elite players for an elite stadium he said and he wants Josh brownhill, apparently it is or Leeds which says it all, Brighton not interested, neither are Fulham, palace, Bournemouth, Brentford etc

Add in the fact he’s not a number 6 which is the position we’re looking at
Imagine giving brownhill a 3yr deal on like 70k as week
One numpty on the other site said,
Just give him holgates wage

Everyone’s just nervous given it’s not been the utopian summer we expected, and it’s playing out most in this thread.

Decent performance tonight will restore a lot of patience over remaining transfers. Don’t mind admitting I’m bricking it a bit. 🤞
I think this is a big part of the reason for the fume from some - misguided expectations.

Prioritising a striker when we have 0 RW and a CB playing RB, makes sense🤣 🤣 🤣 Lets hope the 'recruitment team' disagree

I know he’s had a long career in the media and everything but Al just comes across as completely out of touch. We’ve just paid 30 mill for a striker and have three on the books, we have zero right wing options and injuries in defence and he wants to use what funds we have on another striker?

Unless Beto leaves, the last thing Everton should be looking to buy right now is another striker. We can’t afford to go into another season forcing players into roles they don’t naturally play. What we really need along with a RW and RB is a central midfielder.
