Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It depends on where the club can see most value in the market. Can we pick up a good enough striker this window without breaking the bank? I wonder whether Moyes is looking at west ham as an example of how not to do it - how many strikers have they bought to be their new no. 9 only for them to not score more than 5 goals?

We need pace in the wings and creativity at fullback and in midfield, and we need high ceiling youth assets to grow, develop and either become mainstays or be sold for profit. This is going to take more than one season, let alone window and maybe that means keeping DCL now (it sure as hell shouldn't mean signing Harrison on a permanent).

Depends on game time, he will want to play every week and will be thinking of the World Cup next summer.
Everton will be a big pull With the new stadium and a lot of exposure
He will be seeking money and trophies I should imagine ,
He has done his apprenticeship in the nether regions of the league , and will be confident enough of his abilities to succeed at a top 5 club .
We need to identify players a step below this , probably non British also as the cost is usually far too high .
The stadium is irrelevant to an ambitious player , architecture doesn’t win trophies ( apart from architectural ones of course)

Think Europe will be a big factor to mate.

Problem going for harrison will be the price 20mill anything over 10 and that is a push. Then with his wage of 90 a week aswell, with his goals/assists just ot worth the value

All likelihood is if we sign 6/7 new players on long term contracts they’re not all going to be a success either. If we can keep squad players on short term it will probably be beneficial in the long run.
But we know the deadwood aren’t going to succeed, they’ve been here long enough. Better to invest in potential although some will fail as you say.

Where has the Harrison talk come from? Been poor for 2 years surely we’re not going to sign him.

I think it’ll be DCL’s decision if he stays at Everton. Strikers are expensive, and the club may see it as easier to give him a contract than have to pay a fee for a replacement. DCL could do well for Moyes IF he can stay fit, and if Moyes can bring players in who can cross a ball.

The window hasn’t even opened yet and the level of anxiety here is through the roof…I’ve had to take some diazepam just to read it
