Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

As I said what have you seen from Davey so far to make you think he doesn’t value Doucoure?
I don't think its about how much he values Doucoure as such as the guy offers very little in the grand scheme of things but more he has the physical attributes that Moyes wants from that role than the other options available ie McNeil and Alcaraz, don't think he fancies either of them tbh. We will know in the next couple of weeks who is staying and going imo.

I don’t know mate, all I see week is him being favoured in every circumstance, even with an influence on the future of Alcaraz. We also see it with Subs and mins he o,ays akso.

Everything I see points to me that we’re going to try and keep him if I were to call it.

If we want Delap I can see a scenario unfolding where City activate their buy-back clause at £30M, then immediately offer him to us for first refusal on Branthwaite.

Agree. Only way he goes imo is if the offer is too much of a cut and he heads to Saudi

Seems highly unlikely. They have just spent a fortune on defenders for one.

If City want Branthwaite then they would just sign him.

He’s better than what they have so I imagine Pep would be interested. Also, with City still potentially looking at financial penalties and Delap having come through their ranks it could be a sensible option

I mean they have Dias, Stones, Gvardiol, Ake, Akanji, Khusanov and Reis. As well as some good youth prospects.

They aren’t dropping £70 million on Branthwaite just now.

Stones plays two games every Preston Guild, Ake and Akanji haven’t been great this season, Khusanov is finding his way and Dias will likely be moved on. Gvardiol seems the real deal. I don’t imagine Pep will rest on his laurels after the way the [Poor language removed] have left them behind this season

Ok we’ll see. No idea why Delap would be any part of it either, but let’s see how it pans out.
