Since I’m being openly mocking and critical, I’ll weigh in.
I’d rather see new blood this season and finish similar to last season than keep running out the same midfield and re-live last season.
For example, Hackney might not be a finished product, but I’d rather give him a shot and hope for upside than continue with a midfield which cannot complete a progressive pass and know it will never get better.
Hopefully we get new blood and they prove to be better, but every transfer is a risk when you can’t throw £70M at a star or attract talent without CL/Europa.
