They’ve taken calculated risks on players like Semenyo, at Bristol City he was good at Championship level but not exceptional. He then took time to settle at Bournemouth, I wonder if he’d be given the same amount of patience here?

I think we have showed insane patience with the wingers we have had the past 3 seasons.

He's not a bad player so at a reasonable price, why not?

However, beyond some posters on here saying rumours are gathering pace, there hasn't been a single, genuine link posted here or anywhere that this could be true.

I think a little less posting about possible, intangible, unverified rumours will help everyone keep their sanity over the summer, especially if you're doing it about players that might trigger others

Possibly and they have a progressive coach. Although the Hammers did play 433 at times and had Pacquetta pulling the strings. This is the way the game is going though its cheaper to build a fast/ counter attacking team than a team that plays possession football for a team like us...

Soucek would obviously be the Doucs replacement. Basically a replica in how he plays and better at getting on the end of crosses.

I had it in my mind he was 32/33 but he only turned 30 in February so not completely done.

He’s played more in midfield I think, I’ve not watched West Ham loads, but he seems more of a midfielder. I don’t think we should be spending 20mil on 30yr olds and giving them 3 year deals. It’s not what TFG want to do, so will be interesting to see how that goes

Watching Bournemouth and their entire front line has pace and dynamism I get we were financially restricted but we need more of this thèy don't even play with a number ten as such. They just have three pronged threat

Our fans are very snobbery though. There is plenty of players for other teams we probably could have got, but you the fume on here because they aren’t superstar names.

Soucek is a very able PL midfielder, we would be lucky to have such a player.

….Soucek looks very slow to me, less energetic but far superior in the opposition box. I wouldn’t compare him to Doucoure
