Stuttgart fans aren't that keen on him. They are laughing at the thought of getting €20m for him.

As I said before, although he's got talent, his stats are genuinely awful.

Yeah I'm no scout but like...what? If we're actually interested and this guy turns out to be a good player then the recruitment guy who picked him has the best eye in the game, because this lad factually does absolutely nothing currently apart from win some headers because he's a bit tall. Baffled.

I think we have a chance of signing Delap, and I find the idea that he would undoubtedly prefer a move to 9th placed Brighton ridiculous. I also think Soucek would be a much better signing than Longstaff.

Of the two German CAMs we have been linked with, Woltemade is definitely the one. Has played a lot of games upfront this year rather than CAM. But these are his stats for both.

Although I personally really don't like the tall CAM thing that Moyes insists on, He's also at least 6ft 5, so there's that too.

There’s still the odd bargain to be had, Villa signing Morgan Rogers for just over £9m last year is the most recent that springs to mind.

100% agree, hence the "ton of value". There's value everywhere, just not across the board like getting Lescott for £3m, Baines for £5m etc

Woltemade would make an excellent signing if we could get him, I imagine he is the sort who is a real sod too play against, he is big and lanky and just awkward but very good with the ball at feet, close control is top level stuff when running and he ain't slow either.

We need legs in midfield (and all over the pitch). I’m sick of watching Everton teams get pushed back because we’re just not quick enough to cover the ground. Gueye has been a great player but he is too slow and has been since Coutinho walked past him at Anfield under Koeman. Mangala was tidy on the ball but too slow. McNeil is too slow. Harrison is too slow, Alcaraz doesn’t look the quickest, Ndiaye isn’t the quickest.

We saw the problems Beto caused Van Dijk and Konate just through sheer pace. Doucoure has stayed in the team under nearly every Everton manager just because he can run quickly and work hard, he can’t even play football.

We need the ability to shift in all the new signings we get, it’s absolutely vital.

I wouldn't regard Beto as being quick.... He caused them problems because it's very hard to mark someone when he hasn't a clue what he's going to do himself. Very unpredictable.... I would say he's a nightmare to mark.

They look quick compared to the rest of our team, that’s the problem.

The teams at the top have real pace 1-11 and we just don’t have it anywhere.
