Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He’s an interesting one. He’s an until and could be a younger version of Souceck. Looks to be tailor made for Premier League football. Hasn’t got the eye catching digits for an attacking midfielder, but he’s only 22.

Just seen that aswell is why could see another like a longstaff coming in aswell.

We saw it same time but you just beat me with the upload 😁

Just read a bit more about him. Apparently he’s versatile and can play across the entire midfield, from defensive midfielder, “powerhouse” central midfield, and also attacking midfield. He’s played all those positions which explains why he’s not been prolific. He sounds an interesting player to me, but the RS are also strongly interested apparently so that could put a spoke in the pigeon!

17m isn’t going to break the bank either. Won’t even get you a top Championship player these days. I’d like to think there’s legs in this one.

Yeah i posted the other day that he seems a bit like Soucek.

Underwhelming.

Injury record doesn’t appear the greatest recently, so there literally may be no legs in this one! Missed 15 games through injury, played in 14, only completing 90 mins on just 2 occasions 😳 Kid may have talent but when your playing in the most physically demanding league in the world, them stats would set off alarm bells, so any transfer fee would need to reflect that. Talk of £17m, nah, not for me based on stats above.

Yeah hopefully moyes did sign off on a bid in jan aswell
Need much better than Longstaff, that would be horrendous. At least this kid is 22 and has some potential to get better
Is why i think would be both i can see moyes wanting some prem experience in the team. With questions on tim maybe going out on loan, doucoure and gana who both could leave. Id like better than longstaff but could understand a deal with rohl as gives him time to work with him and build up to put him in

….i wouldn’t be comparing him to Soucek, this lad looks to have much better quality in possession, comfortable on both sides and gets about the pitch. He’s tall but he’s quite slight, more elegant than ‘powerhouse’, I’d certainly be comparing him to an Adam Wharton with his range of passing.

Injury record a concern, I’d imagine this is one of a number of ‘enquiries’ and if it has happened it’s encouraging that we’re sounding the market out already. Finally it’s how it should be.

That’s only been this season though. It can happen.

We need legs in midfield (and all over the pitch). I’m sick of watching Everton teams get pushed back because we’re just not quick enough to cover the ground. Gueye has been a great player but he is too slow and has been since Coutinho walked past him at Anfield under Koeman. Mangala was tidy on the ball but too slow. McNeil is too slow. Harrison is too slow, Alcaraz doesn’t look the quickest, Ndiaye isn’t the quickest.

We saw the problems Beto caused Van Dijk and Konate just through sheer pace. Doucoure has stayed in the team under nearly every Everton manager just because he can run quickly and work hard, he can’t even play football.

We need the ability to shift in all the new signings we get, it’s absolutely vital.

I’m hoping Moyes doesn’t have full control, because some of his West Ham buys were shocking. TFG have apparently said they won’t be spending big on players a certain age. Longstaff turns 28 early next season and could cost us 35mil on fees and wages, if rather us loan someone and spend 5/6mil on a loan fee and wages. He will just be another player getting paid for sitting on the bench untill hes 31. We should use what money we have on first team players , not on squad fillers. Loans and frees do cost money, but not as much as committing money on a 28yr old for 3/4 years

Rohl is the name that keeps cropping up. I wonder if we’re trying to get this wrapped up early because we view him as a superior option to Alcaraz and wouldn’t want both, hence working on it early before triggering Alcaraz’s option.
