Benteke is tailor made for Koeman in the type of striker he likes. Big strong target man. If you have that type of player then three at the back and your wing backs suddenly become far more important. An upgrade on Baines and a replacement at least in the short term/competition for when Coleman returns will be needed.

So too will a quality winger.

Benteke could feasibly bag 20+ goals in this Everton side. He would cushion the blow of losing Rom for sure. He is 26 years old so in his prime. I'd be happy if we signed him. The only thing is Palace will want a hefty fee for him.

Said the same, he was better than lukaku at the time, but lukaku had better potential. He'd be my top choice as well as giroud if we sold lukaku, it's just palace spunked £32m on when they should have paid £10m less than that from the RS.

Anyway, I like how this came just after @Simon baker said he was better than benteke, still awaiting his playing record to back it up with stats.
