I doubt we'd accept less.

Roma want £70m for their goalkeeper.

We'd want £60m for Pickford. We'd want to double our money.

All this crap about market value is irrelevant.

As a player, no, he's not worth £60m. He's probably worth what we paid for him last year.

But, to us, given his importance, age, potential and contract, he's worth at least that.

You have an amazing talent in grasping the economics of transfers and player values in one hand, then choking the life out of it with the other. Well done, sir!

Pickford had a decent season for us last season, he made mistakes and still looked dodgy at times commanding his area, he was boss at the world cup, and all of a sudden he's the best out there. Now I'm not saying he hasn't impressed me at times because he has, but we laugh at the RS off for heralding a player as the next big thing,so lets just see how he gets on.

Don't think anyone is saying he's the best. But he's the best we could realistically have for where we are right now Lou.

And come on, he had more than a 'decent' season. He was excellent in the vast majority of games. Yes, some mistakes, and notable ones, but the best goalkeepers make mistakes.

The lad has just turned 24. He's not doing bad. And he's worth at least £60m to us, imo.

Valderama, who played for huge clubs like Montpelier, Valladolid, as well as Tampa Bay Mutiny? OK THEN

In a straight battle between us and Gala, we would win every time. No worries there.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and Valderrama is just another pundit. We can't really change people's perceptions of us, it's only on the pitch that the club can talk.

No they won't as we will see this transfer window.

Allison plays for Roma, Pickford plays here. That's why they can add on a few million to his price.
People said the same thing about barkley being the next big thing. Rodwell being the next Ferdinand.

Any one after Pickford will watch this seasons highlights and realise he made some mistakes.

We will see. Pickford is a far superior goalkeeper to Alisson having watched both. IF Alisson goes for above 60 Pickford will go nowhere for 25 mate.

As I put in the Pickford thread, he is a real winner and far mentally stronger than both Barkley and Rodwell. Alongside that Barkley and Rodwell have been plagued with injuries which have ultimately derailed their careers. It happens. Had Zidane had such injuries it's unlikely he'd have been the player he was. Such is life.

He made some mistakes as young goalkeepers do, but on the biggest stage of his career he excelled, that will mean a lot to top clubs.

Valderama's opinion is worth less than Lalas, but there are a lot of good reasons to go to Turkey instead. I just hope if he comes, he's good enough, and that the next best option is as good if he doesn't.

well evidently you don't

I mean your naming casteels who is even behind mignolet for belguim, a keeper who doesn't even get played of karius
I only deal in stats and they're all superior in that regard other than butland who was worse after his injury , that's why I said he was equal too
