Great player head and shoulders above anything we have in our midfield and I suspect well out of our range as there will be more attaractive offers for him if he is to leave.

Think we will end up with Mark Noble myself or maybe Sam can persuade Kevin Nolan to put his boots back on.
We truly have sunk to an all time low.

This is exactly what I’m scared of.

He stays, we are just going to end up with 11 meatheads.

Obviously Theo stands out, but that was an opportunistic signing.

Everytime I have seen an interview with a Spurs player and they're asked who is the best player at Spurs ? They always say Dembele
I rate Dembélé abd think he’s a great player, but I did see a mad stat saying he hasn’t a goal or an assist this season. Not sure how true that is.

Might be true but he is so important to the way they play. He's an awsome player and I would take him in a heart beat and I would pay over the odds to get him simply because he is exactly the sort of player we need

Selling Rooney encapsulates everything that has been wrong with Everton. His price was literally incalculable. Don't judge him now. In his day, you win titles around a player like that.

Only desperate fools, intent on keeping their position off load that kinda gold dust. At his prime he would of walked into any club on the planet and we sold him!!! Let that sink in. Criminal. We're a club run by one eyed donkeys.

Mate when you sell players on the last day of the window because you don't want to face the fans and tell them the reason we didn't sign anyone is not actually because we didn't have time but because we are going broke. That doesn't really leave you in a prime negotiating position to achieve maximum market value does it?

There are plenty of things to have a go at the board over but not getting good value for our players is not one of them.

You are just wrong here.

..we generally sell our best players because they want to leave. We want to be in a position where our best players want to stay. It’s not a matter of offloading them. As with John Stones, players in the modern game move on if they want to.

Agree mate he is a fine player, its not all or nothing, but Demeble is the foundation the house is built on.

Appreciate that, we are a long way off a team that looks balanced.

We need to focus on pace and chance creation with these signings.

Who knows, Schneids might excel with players ahead of him in space and wanting the ball for him to hit them with passes.

Utd lost Ronaldo.
Barca lost Neymar.

Money talks.

Agreed and this isn't the Rooney thread. But at his age? It's incompetence. Or Lack of ambition. Either way you look at it mate it's damning. Remember McMahon, before he went to Villa. We all knew he was a class player, we didn't pay the wages or didn't have ambition. So he left.

How exactly are we gonna get anywhere if we can't keep hold of world class players?. It comes from the board. You have to demonstrate to players we are a club that is going somewhere. At least the ##### over the road keep their players. You think they would have let them go before their prime.

No chance.

..Rooney left because he wanted to join one of the highest profile clubs in the world. He wasn’t offloaded and i’m sure the club wanted him to stay. As i’ve said, we want our best players to stay but that only comes with success.
