Lookman, Vlasic, Sandro, Sigurdsson, Dowell are not wingers. Onyekuru is not at the club and don't be for at least another year, yes all can and have played there, but for none of them is it there best or natural position.

Leaving us in reality with three natural wingers, Bolasie and Mirallas who the club is actively trying to move both on, and Walcott, who doesn't exactly have the sturdiest injury history.
What is Lookman then? Dowell was most productive on the right and judging by preseason he drifts through games too much to play centrally

Lookman himself and on a good few times others have said his natural position is as a second striker, If Dowell drifts too much that doesn't change the fact he isn't a winger mate but a central player, it just means that he won't make it at the top level because he's flawed.

Lookman is a winger.

Lookman is certainly comfortable on the wings. He might want to play off the striker but he's going to be used wide so he needs to get on with it. Dowell might be able to make it as a right wing who comes inside to create but isn't responsible for moving the ball like a midfielder who is central all the time

Mina would be a massive move he was fantastic in the WC. Him and Siggurdsson would be big threats from set pieces.

Hopefully we get 2-3 through the door over the next 7-10 days.

It wont be.

Cheap to buy, cheap to buy back.

Nea, it's the reality of buying from Barca, long as it has a clause meaning they can't loan or sell him for a year after he won't go back, as they will always have another non EU player they want for that spot ahead if a failed one they had before.

It may have only been a friendly yesterday but he controlled everything. It was a good display for someone who wants to prove himself to a new manager.

He made more of a statement yesterday then the rest put together
Some of our players seem to have picked up from where they left off, playing badly. Besic has continued his form at Boro into our pre season yet people are still writing him off. But Klassen should be given a “chance”. Madness

We are getting hammered in the media for spending on Richarlison . Yes we will over pay(although it's not 50m reported) whilst we aren't as attractive, yes we will have to take punts, we can't buy the finished article because sadly they won't want to come. That being said I would hope it's a one off this window and we can secure some more reasonable buys/bargains too.

But Liverpool have spent a quarter of a billion and it's not mentioned, Alisson is highly rated but I must say 70m for a guy they stick seven past doesn't strike me as good business either. They've been wasting millions for years. So wind your necks in reds you have no moral high ground

We're not really though.

Mina for 15, Richarlison for 35 initially, both would represent very good value for money deals, and dirt two major areas we needed to address.

23, 21, both with 4-5 years before their peak.

Guess only but wouldn't be shocked to see Tierney coming back to the table either. Or Lozano for that matter.
