Succession Planning - Managerial Wishlist

Its because of the relegation mess we have been that makes people happy with moyes, the comfort of midtable safety has become a mind set of many blues, hes done a great job in a short time but i would like glasner at everton.
Think for me is because of the quick turnaround from last season and the position the club was in. Still do feel would be a chance missed this season of not getting europe because it was open, but do feel pressure will be i be increased next season on and off the pitch. As i kno for me cant accpet another window without addressing squad problems like rb. And if we do get transfers right then will be nore pressure on moyes to use his whole squad. Is the thing that i find has been a massive problem

Given that only managers who are former players can win trophies at Everton. I want a former player. I think Baines, because he is already on the coaching staff would be a good pick, we may finally get some attacking fullbacks at the club again.

If Arteta doesn't win anything at the end of the season I could see Arsenal parting ways with him, but I think he is a really good manager, he has proven this season that he is adaptable, changing his style of play to grind out results.

Lee Carsley is probably the only other one that you could say has experience and is doing well, though its under 21 international, which is different from day to day management of the first team.

I think emotionally you look at people like Rooney and Ferguson, but I think other than Derby, Rooney has struggled to make that transition into management, maybe if he had Rosenior as his number two (like at Derby) he could be successful. I think Ferguson was a bit unlucky at Inverness because they went bust, but that was 2 years ago now and he doesnt seem desperate to get back in. I would love to see him at least back on our coaching staff, but perhaps he doesnt want to, now that he has been first team manager.
A Rooney and Rosenior dream team is a bold shout!

Glasner has finished 10th, 12th and 15th? in the Prem. Is that not the comfort of mid table safety?

He’s potentially going to win Palace their second major trophy in which would only be their second trophy in their whole history.. alls whilst selling their best players. *plus a community shield against the $hite

Glasner rocked up against Liverpool’s kids at Anfield and battered them all over the shop. Everton managers would be falling over themselves to still somehow lose that game. We need a manager to can take advantage of those types of gifts and progress in cups.

He's done well - him and Iraola.

Moyes was needed to make us an actual football club again - his experience has been vital. He could make us incrementally better still in my opinion - so fine with another season.

Longer term - we will have to gamble at some point.

I think if Silva was willing to come back here I'd hand him the reins again.

It was only a load of bedwetters who thought we could go out and buy the title on Moshiri's money who demanded his head and Moshiri bending the knee to them that saw him sacked.

If we cant attract Glasner, Iraola or the like, I'd rather him than the grifter we have in place right now anyway.
/calling out others for reactionary kneejerks.

shalom!

Don’t think anyone at all is thinking Rooney.

Why would we give it Baines who has a grand total of no managing experience?

Maybe because we could try and do something different, rather than removing the current manager and ripping everything up and getting a new person in, new style of play, etc. I think promoting someone from within, that follows our playing style and evolves it, can work. When you look at what Brentford have done this season with Keith Andrews, or what Barcelona have done in the past with Pep and Xavi

Especially if we're not going to offer him a new contract I think it would be a misstep to keep him an additional year to influence our recruitment that affect his successor the following season and there just seems to be several younger quality managers available this summer who have the potential to instilling a new culture at the club that would offer a more dynamic attack and youth oriented approach. I think Moyes has been serviceable but I think the club needs a renaissance with a more lively manager
