I could go on and on but the amount of pure bossness that this series not only takes inspiration from but openly revels in and still makes it work as a stand alone series is astonishing.

If you love the above then you will love this and if you don't then you don't matter.

I like all those films to be fair - I mean I haven't seen any of them since I was 15 or younger so I guess you've made my point for me. In all seriousness it is of course each to their own, I can see the influences I just think I went into it with high expectations and was a little disappointed. I'm looking forward to watching the get down though.

I shat myself 3 times in the opening 5 minutes FFS. Not quite what I expected.

However, loving the 80's ness. Totally nailed it as far as I can see so far.

One episode in and I like it. Will get the second in now.

It is the 80's personified. The set design, the referencing, the credits, the music - perfect.
The best thing? It's not as if they've just dumped things from 1983 in there, cars are older than that, furniture is older than that; exactly how things were in 1983.

The D&D folder - brilliant attention to detail, ring bound photocopies and pages pulled out of magazines.

I can't praise it enough as a show. That rare blend of excellent plot, wonderful nostalgia and beautifully played to boot.
