Cant believe Stones has come out and said 'Guardiola has taught me row Z'. Who needs to be taught that even children know thats the best option when defending sometimes!! What a tool !!!

I had to laugh at Stones in that interview: "I dont know why I was dropped"...erm, because you were getting had off by every attacker in the league, you tuppence ha'penny Bobby Moore.Good old Dave.....
Mind you, there is more than an element of truth in that statement.
Stones was whining about Bobby in that article we saw yesterday but I have to say I do not believes Stones would be anywhere near the elevated status he is enjoying right now if Bobby had not given him his big break and stuck by him longer than he should have during the bleak midwinter of last season.
Stones is moaning that he can't understand what he "did wrong" to be left out the starting XI for a few weeks but those of us watching him perform in our shambolic defence in November and December and could understand why.

He is going to make a disastrous decision soon in a big game. He;s due one and I hope it's against United next week.
Ibra will take the piss. This will be his first real test.
He has looked comfortable for City thus far but there has been little or no pressure put on the City defence.
One imagines it will be very different next week.
Hope ibra smashes the crap out of him in the first 20mins and he cries off with stomach cramps. That's why I think he'll never be England captain. Lilly livered tart.Ibra will take the piss.

Always thought he would excel in Spain, as it suites his style of footballGuardiola will have him thinking he's a combination of Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore and Baresi by now. He's full of himself and just right for a massive fall from grace.
Funny how he now states he'll belt the ball into row Z at City but the arrogant little divvy was scolding Everton supporters 9 months ago for urging him to do it.

In the Prem I am not to sure if he will be as effective
Absolutely do not care. Does not play for us so may as well not exist. What the hell, I will. If it turns into a replica of the main thread then I'm sure the mods will tidy the place up by closing this, but it would be nice to give it 24 hours or so to see how we, as a fanbase, feel about John's decision to leave the club.
So, vote and stuff ...
Maybe....I think he is well short of the dark arts to prosper over there, tbh. Spanish forwards would have him in knots and booked every other challenge. The likes of Pique and Puyol and Ramos are top draw because they have talent in bucket loads, physically they are dominant and they are as snide as any forwards who'd try and take the piss.

Correct. Stones is a good footballer. But I think he is an awful defender as he spends his time ball watching.Maybe....
I think here he isn't up to the physical side of the game and we know he doesn't like to mess his hair up by heading a ball.
Over in Spain he can stand off and jockey a player, he doesn't need to throw tackles in and have that physical, fight with the likes of Costa....unless he goes back
I agree he would need to learn them dark arts...
No doubting his talent..
