...his comments about RM are interesting. It seems to me that Belgium have top class footballers but something is missing. It's not about tactics, it's not about changes, it's about making those top players gel. I think the challenge is about man management and from Stones' comments it's an area where RM is lacking.

Mind you, there is more than an element of truth in that statement.

Stones was whining about Bobby in that article we saw yesterday but I have to say I do not believes Stones would be anywhere near the elevated status he is enjoying right now if Bobby had not given him his big break and stuck by him longer than he should have during the bleak midwinter of last season.

Stones is moaning that he can't understand what he "did wrong" to be left out the starting XI for a few weeks but those of us watching him perform in our shambolic defence in November and December and could understand why.

I had to laugh at Stones in that interview: "I dont know why I was dropped"...erm, because you were getting had off by every attacker in the league, you tuppence ha'penny Bobby Moore.

He is going to make a disastrous decision soon in a big game. He;s due one and I hope it's against United next week.

Guardiola will have him thinking he's a combination of Beckenbauer, Bobby Moore and Baresi by now. He's full of himself and just right for a massive fall from grace.

I think he is well short of the dark arts to prosper over there, tbh. Spanish forwards would have him in knots and booked every other challenge. The likes of Pique and Puyol and Ramos are top draw because they have talent in bucket loads, physically they are dominant and they are as snide as any forwards who'd try and take the piss.

I think here he isn't up to the physical side of the game and we know he doesn't like to mess his hair up by heading a ball.

Correct. Stones is a good footballer. But I think he is an awful defender as he spends his time ball watching.
Any active forward will get the drop on him most times, whether the ball be in the air or on the deck. Or indeed, when they don't have the ball.
Row Z? Do one. Nobody can teach you when to clear it, you troll.
Anyway, shame he's gone. Thanks for the funds, and now he's sod all to do with us, let's move on.
Other than to stuff Citeh every time we play them.

You can't blame him for leaving. At City he is getting huge increase in wage, CL football and is playing under a world class manager. Why wouldn't he leave?
