Saying what he is saying is himself trying to justify why he was playing badly....not my fault his fault. Pointing the fingers at others rather than accepting he was at fault.
As people have said at City he will never be under as much pressure as at Everton from opposition players so the odds of mistakes have already tumbled.

He handed in a transfer request first chance he got, there is no reason for any Everton fan to have any regard for him.

You don't have to have regard for him but there is no reason to [Poor language removed] talk, he's done what 99% of the world do... quit one job for a better one. Do you hate on all your mates who do the same ? Why one rule for a footballer and another for everyone else ? they are employees, they would have to be idiots to turn down a contract with a bigger company which pays better and can instantly offer them the next progression in their career.

Thats what Stones and countless players do and i can't fault them for it one bit, because everyone in the world does the same thing.

It's pretty fun. That's a good reason.

Hope he's treated with hostility. Left for more money alone. City are a smaller club than us and he will do nothing in his career maybe than win odd league or Fa cup....

Being dragged away in a derby says all you need to know about his character... Good riddance.

Of course he has mate, no one is saying he has to stay with us for 25 years and forgo every professional opportunity to sacrifice everything to us. But there are ways of going and showing a little bit of appreciation for the contribution the club made to give him a good platform and to acknowledge the support he got from most of the fans apart from that Park End thing is not too much to ask. That nicety is lost on him.
Good player, probably did his bit for fans behind the scenes while with us, dropped us a soon as he could so my attachment to him ends when his attachment to my club ends. My tolerance of moments he was not all that for us disappears too. Hope we skin him when we play City!! Not bitter, just want to get the better over anyone that leaves us for someone else. Competitive sport is all about beating opponents, he is now an opener in a rival team.
