Just my opinion mate but when that transfer request was made like my previous point he wasn't managed by Koeman was he and just because the papers say he wants to leave it doesn't mean its gospel. Unless you can show me where he has stated himself in word or text that he has apologies i haven't seen it.

He clearly wants out, What is wrong with saying "Good, Lets move on".
Personally I believe he isn't all that, Don't get me wrong, He is talented but he makes real poor decisions in suicide positions.
Could be purely down to Martinez lack of defending nouse ??, I guess we will see in time.

£53,000,000 (or so is quoted) it's mad, mad money and I think we would be insane to turn that amount down for a lad still learning with NO guarantee of success.

To be fair to him he's had a few set backs this last 13 months. Poor form, out of the side, no mins at the euros, accusations of bottling the Derby.... but still has the self belief that he should play for city.

If it's not just for money (assuming we could now match wages with city) that's some good mental strength and self belief!
