Oh I know Mate, but that season he was involved in a lot with Barkley, Oviedo and Rom. He was class. Now, unfortunately, it looks like his legs have gone.

You know, us humans have a tendency to forget the negatives and focus more on the positives. Pienaar has been out for a long while, we can't even recall what he's like, I thought he was dead ages ago.

Honestly think it was the other way round. Others who have tried that left wing spot have looked poor even with Baines behind them. Even Baines Mirallas wasn't a great combo. Meanwhile Oviedo looked good behind Pienaar. Offensively and defensively Pienaar has been the best wide player I've seen for Everton since Kanchelskis but because he's not a wannabe Ronaldo type he doesn't get any where near enough credit. Even now he's still probably technically the best player in the side.

Load of BS, baines doesnt look the same player without him, if anything baines rarely looks at his absolute best when hes not teamed up with pienaar , they compliment each other perfectly

No, no one misses it. Naismith on the wing is the future, embrace it.

In my opinion, Naisy has a more limited same skill set than Pienaar...but he compensates by not half running his socks off

Not everyone will agree with this but I do. One of my favourite players over the last 20 years
