The team has lacked direction and a focal point all season and I think it will still struggle till the January window, hopefully a fresh set of eyes with a new Manager will paper over the cracks for the next few months.
Let’s face it we are going to have to paper over cracks. We dont have a left winger with pace. We have 3 right wings we don’t have a center forward. Racking my brains to think how we should play. Almost think based on personnel we can go with 2 up top in DCL, Niasse, Sandro,Rooney, or press with a top three that have pace and work rate among Lookman, Mirallas, Vlasic, DCL, Niasse & Sandro. one of our no.10’s behind in a 3-4-3. Baines, Kenny, Martina as a wide rotation until Seamus is back. Back 3 amongst Keane, holgate, williams, jags. I now you're not a fan of FM, but I am sure he would perform better than Jags,Williams,& holgate are. One of MS, Gana, Besic, and MCCarthy as a DM. Not sure where that leaves Davies though. Maybe in a midfield 3 or on the right in a 3-4-3.

Koeman watched Vlasic for two games and bought him.
Vlasic was not exactly an unknown quantity though
He was highly rated as a 16 yr old and was on the the radar of some of Europe’s top clubs including Real Madrid.
His father who was a sportsman as well told his son to stay and improve with Split by getting first team football
It’s not unreasonable to assume that Walsh knew about Vlasic beforehand

To be honest i think the players we have recruited are good players, all except klassen seem to me good buys. Its more the players we didn't sign in certain positions.

He has done a phenomenal job clearing the decks.

Get the feeling the relationship between Walsh & Koeman wasn't the best, so hopefully Walsh can form a good one with whoever we appoint next because if we are to have a DoF then it needs to be spot on.

Interestingly, in Koeman's thank you statement to the club, fans, players, BK and Moshiri he doesn't mention Walsh at all which says it all really considering they were meant to have been working very closely.
