Regardless of who's appointed as the next manager, Moshiri needs to sort out who's responsible for what going forward.

If Walsh's title of Director of Football is a real one, and he's not a glorified head scout, then that needs to be plain to both Walsh and our new manager. It sounds like the mess we had with not buying a striker was a mess of Moshiri's making in that the lines of responsibility weren't clear and so, once the Giroud deal fell through, no-one had the gonads to make a sensible decision.

Can't picture this me. He always comes across like that really nice dad of your mates that always picks you up at 5am after the sesh and is completely oblivious to all the coke flying around acting like we've just been to Sunday School.

Nymz, I hate to see it but you're coming off a bit desperate for Walsh to come out of this smelling of roses. Are you his kid or something?

Well I think Unsworth would be able to work with him more than what Koeman may have if he lands the job long term. Seems a difficult person to like Koeman so hopefully Unsy and Walsh have a better relationship.

??????????

Just saying he seems like quite a reserved guy so can't picture him walking around FF like he's Ronaldo.

He could do just my opinion. I don't care if he does and he's crap and sacked or what.

Seems in England this role isn't fully understood. Koeman saying that Siggy was his signing just tells you how much of a mess this situation is. Koeman in truth isn't supposed to have any signings, he's supposed to ask for players in certain positions and make suggestions. In fact, Walsh is supposed to hire his own coach, you can't get in a coach first and then a director of football afterwards. In European countries, a DOF is basically an old school English manager that doesn't actually coach the match day.
