Perhaps, it's still unclear how his relationship with Koeman worked though... I think with whoever is in charge come January, it will be a lot more clear if he's kept on.

Depends on who he got us to sign and who was a Koeman choice really. That we will probably never know.

Koeman said himself that he has the final say on all transfers. But I think the following transfers are 100% Koeman ones:

Stekelenberg
Martina
Klassen
Sigurdsson
Schneiderlin

Also, I think there's a few they each had input on:

Rooney
Vlasic
Keane
Bolasie
Williams
Pickford
Valencia

And here's the ones I'd say Walsh himself identified before getting the go ahead from Koeman:

Lookman
Gueye
Sandro
DCL (Unsworth had input as well on this iirc)

Giroud being our #1 choice is poor for a start. That we allowed it to drag on was also poor. Not getting it done at all was poor. Not being able to afford the backups is poor. Having backups who we're not prepared to break the bank for, given we're replacing our best and most important player, is poor. Poor all round.

Most of the players we could have picked ourselves, only Vlasic seems a decent overseas buy, and that only popped up once we’d played against him. We saw pictures of him in Europe but no players. He’s got one transfer window then he’s next out the door.......
