Player Valuation: £50m
Yesterday saw us get a mauling from lowly portsmouth, and how depressing is that. In addition it takes an awful lot of effort to let make long streak of paralysed pi55 look any good.

So, where was the fight? where was the player or players to step up and kick those that continually kicked pienaar and osman? hreidarsson was absolutely screaming for a good hiding yesterday and because no one stood up to him he bullied and harassed and lashed out all game.

Yeah there are injuries, yeah the squad is too small, but you dont need a pele or a maradona to go out breaking legs. Get Cana on !!!

I think performances like yesterday are inevitable with a big semifinal looming up in the not-too-distant future.

Who would want to get injured in a 'meaningless' game ( I know it isn't exactly meaningless, but relatively it is).

Added to the injuries we already have we'll probably have a few more games like this until the semi.

To be fair on Pompey, I don't think they belong down there. Was a terrible game by Everton though. For the first 6 minutes it looked like it would be a stroll in the park for Everton. After that, we completely lost contol it seemed. Really think that Cahill missing had a big influence on the game. Hreidarsson would have had to deal with him.

Bang on mate! We were out Evertoned yesterday, clearly we had more quality and Pompey kicked their way to a win, the ref showed no protection Yesterday. But you do need players to protect your quality players.

Super Tim was a massive miss yesterday i remember he battered Diarra, Muntari and Diop last season.

Heiridson was shocking yesterday but got a way with it, we best get used to it every game is going to be a battle of wills and physicality rather then quality from this point on.

Certainly quality in our squad has seen us accumalate a lot of our points this season but the ability to vary your game and battle from this point on will dictate the rest of the season.

Bring ont the destroyers.

Thats a problem mate, have you thought about getting some coaching!

You cant really put a stamp on a game if you can control it. The formation plays a big part. Arsenal are particularly physical but out do teams with pace, technique and class for eg.

We only have 3 players that can kick people - Neville, Fellaini and Cahill. Everyone else need a bit of help or at least should be able to utlitse their skill - passing and movement.

Formation dont work so the players who get muscled out of the game cant play their passing game which happened yesterday.

Variety in the teams game is needed, but we should be able to stamp some authority on the game without needed to out muscle teams. Skill will always out do brute force - hence why your Stokes, Newcastles, Bolton's etc end up scrapping at the bottom. But I do agree we needed some guile yesterday.

With Arteta and Neville in the middle we'd be fine in a 4-4-2, without Arteta no chance.

4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 is the best way to go with the players we have.

Agreed, without Arteta we have to do abit more battling and 4-5-1 or 4-4-1-1 is the way to do that.

You know im going to disagree with alot of the above, i think quality gets you so far but you need a destroyer we lacked that yesterday, we lacked it aganst Newcastle and we lacked it against Blackburn and Wigan, im all for your silky skillfull players but you need players who will mix and protect those players.

Neville shouldnt be a long term central midfeild option.

Priority no1 for me in the summer. A destroyer.
