Yeah they made a bags of it if you ask me the lower tier ruines it and should have been a bigger capacity as well, Croke Park is far superior even if Landsdowne looks more stlysh. If i was pushed i would think the lower tier was to get it through planning as there was probs with the residents. Now that its built i think it will only be a matter of time untill they tear down the low tier and the residents are sold down the river!

You mean they built it so low so as to avoid trouble with local residents, but you reckon once it's built they'll just build it up??
Which I imagine could be difficult with the shape of it.

We need to move on from the past, recent and ancient, and look to be constructive, if we can twist the councils arm and get the nod to redevelop Goodison with the required surrounding space for a bit of retail &/or hotel, then super. If it means having to wave farewell to the old girl then we have to get onside with that as she cannot fulfill the expectations we as fans have if we want increased turnover and more high profile players. Old style tradition versus newage expectation and top flight requirement.
30k - 35k regular home gates only means so much, more revenue required to guarantee keeping what stars we have (Pienaar) and being able to attract more of the same like Moutinho.
Can any of the 'stay at Goodison for eternity' tribe think up any ideas to furnish the club with more turnover and therefor more capability in terms of calibre of players?

Comparing Everton to Liverpool is frankly ridiculous these days.
Everton's prospects for stadium redevelopment/development are frankly far better because Everton have a sustainable business model which isn't singularly reliant on massive spending on transfer fees.
The stadium share - is a short cut to disaster for us. Liverpool supporters are the ones who want it more than us. Because it gets them out of a hole - they dug for themselves.
It wouldn't be the right thing for Everton. We want and need a stadium fit for our purposes.

No its not.
Munich 1860 are an illustration why we should swerve it. As are Inter Milan. Both for different reasons.
1. 1860, bankrupt and had to sell their share to Bayen. Can't fill their stadium, which they rent from Bayen and have a "poor atmosphere" which hinders them. The Allianz only benefited Bayen.
2. Inter Milan wish to leave the San Siro in 2014 for a purpose built stadium which will treble revenue. 60000 seater with purpose built corporate facilities.
Liverpool supporters know that they're stuck with the Yanks and the debts unless they can increase revenue but can't afford the stadium due to their debts.
Its a con to believe that Everton in any way shape or form need them to build a stadium.

Professor bowl head Cannon has changed his tune about Keioc hasn't he? I remember Cannon when he was interviewed on Radio Merseyside the night Tescodome was called in by the Govnt in 2008 and hysterically accused Keioc of costing the club tens of millions. Now he's having a go at the club and declaring Keioc visionaries.
Hang on another five minutes he'll change his mind again.

Professor Tom was compromised during the Kirkby stadium period. His company are well embroiled with Knowsley Council offering business advice to them.
Now he works for the University of Liverpool as a lecturer - the university that would be a part of the football quarter.
