We can't start saying content can't be shared on here for comment - if you don't like the author of that content.

As I said, if someone shared a post from Tommy Robinson and people were slating him for it, should we wade in and say "You can't go posting content from him!!!"

There's nothing wrong with the video. It was accurate.

I'll repost it if I have to defend myself from nonsense to demonstrate context.

I'll repost it to prove a point that cry arsing around posts in this forum doesn't work either.

"I don't like what this person is saying" - so what? Log off then.
"You can't post that". I can. You can.
It all come down to context, if someone was posting Lennons tweets agreeing with him etc then I would question that persons beliefs. Your first post was fine, i can understand why you got annoyed over the machete/knife argument tbf

Here we go again!!

More concerned about the reaction to an action.

Everyone going on about the anger on the streets more than the perpetrator in all this.
A 'kin guy has just murdered kids and seriously hurt adults and the outrage is about locals throwing stones at police or burning police vans! Quite frankly i dont give a toss about that, until the government/Police start protecting us from such atrocities then expect the same.

Im not saying what happened in Southport last was right, but the issue is to find out how and why a guy with these capabilities to cause carnage is allowed to walk the streets.

All im reading is these "racists nobheads" rioting

Is no one questioning whether the brutal murder of kids was not a racist attack??
What was his motive?
Does he have mental health issues?
Did the authorities know about him?
Was he not known to the police or was it an attack out of rage?

why dont you go and smash up a car or something, sounds like you think it'll make you feel better cos you're the victim after all.

None of those questions can be answered yet.

People can be outraged/upset about both things. They are not mutually exclusive of each other.

Indeed it does - and the context is there for everyone to see.

It's why "you can't post that content because of the account who shared it" doesn't work here, because - context.

... And people who try an dictate moderation of this Current Affairs forum have always, and always will get short shrift. It's the only way it works - me saying "I'll share what I like" isn't me saying I'm an admin so I can share what I like - the same is true for everyone in here. Only thing we ask is to retain some composure.

Wasn't actually arsed by people nit-picking "well it wasn't a machete it was a knife" tbf, expect it and it ignores I was asking whether the video was in the same location.

After any tragedy, now isn't the time for politics/don't look back in anger etc etc.

But, it's right - those questions aren't going to be immediately answered.

Whatever the answers, does it make any difference?

Agree, but look at social media and the last 30 pages on here its all about the reaction of a community.

Its minor in the grand scheme of things.

Like ive said im not condoning what happened last night but i understand why people are angry.

Serious question here , everyone is saying the police and government need to protect us… what if this person who committed this disgusting act was not known to police ? What if he was known to police but had no previous markers for knife crime ? What if, what if, what if ???

This isn’t minority report mate… how can anyone predict when anybody is going to do something like this ?

And yes… them knuckle draggers add to the problem and make it ten times worse

Yes absolutely!

It wont change whats happened but it could stop or reduce the chances of it happening again.

Lets say its mental health and this guy was in now way fit for society, but due to bed space or treatment he has been let out.
Or lets say he has previous convictions of knife crime

That to me means the system has failed us which is preventable.

Why are you inventing scenarios to be outraged at when it's already tragic enough?
