Current Affairs Stabbing incident in Southport

I totally agree, I also think it’s too late though.

Within 24 hours we know that the loon was a British born citizen with no connections to Islam and people are still convinced that those rioters were morally right attacking a mosque.

Twitter really has a massive problem with misinformation and sadly the site owner seems to promote it.

Going to bed last night all I could think about is how the families of all those affected were feeling about it all.
Elongated Muskrat is a real problem.

Yet others on here are suggesting this isn't the case. While there were definitely people from further afield who came to incite trouble, there are many scousers too.

Their reasoning? Who knows, but as I've previously posted I suspect some will be there purely for a scrap, a laugh and having a go at the cops.
Cert something daft would happen.
What the hell do they hope to achieve?
It's helping nobody and has nothing to offer to the families ect that have been effected.

Nothing, apart from a dopamine fix. They don't care about the families, nor do I suspect for most this was about some form of warped patriotic action.

I genuinely suspect the vast majority of the people who attended yesterday and caused disorder did so because they wanted a scrap - it fulfilled a desire.

The murder of three young, innocent girls and the attack on many others is a convenient excuse for them to commit wanton acts of violence and disorder.

There'll have been those there yesterday who through ignorance and/or misinformation falsely attributed the attack with a race/religion, but that's not an excuse.

Yet, more will have not cared about this (or worse, deliberately knew to the contrary and ignored it) and used it as a convenient excuse to promote their racist views.

Some will have simply turned up to riot without any thought or preconceived views because it was an opportunity to go on a rampage, regardless of the reason.

`You're adding intelligent, rational thought and compassion to a situation where the perpetrators are significantly lacking.

I thought violence against females was the worst of all possible wrongdoings mate? Three baby girls stabbed to death, more fighting for their lives and you’re in here jumping for joy because you think you’ve landed a couple of gotchas on other posters?

I said in the other thread that I thought you were sound, but it turns out you’re actually abhorrent.
This is a truly horrific situation and you jumping around trying to be smart isn't helping or needed.

Whilst it may well be the case that there were members of the EDL present.

I feel this statement really just tries to dampen any suggestions that locals didn't turn up and act with careless disrespect to those grieving.

The videos prove something different. Instead of spreading baseless "beliefs", they should now be looking to condemning the actions and throwing jail sentences to people who can be found guilty of causing unrest within Southport, Leeds and wherever the next place is.

Ultimately, as a parent, I cannot even begin to comprehend how the children and families and even local community feel.

The only way you begin to extinguish anything remotely right wing, is by going for its supporters and making them think twice about fighting for what's "right".
