In defence of Davek, (not that he needs any) I think he's saying that there are many people who would like to celebrate the day as a way of differentiating the "us" and the "them".
I personally will never celebrate it, unless it goes the way of St Patrick's Day, which is meant to be a solemn commemoration of a patron saint, but in reality is a very good excuse to get totally pissed, and invite everyone (Irish or not) to join in.
Now that's my kind of celebration.

Pretty much it. The history with Royalism in this country is always going to attract tourism but for a family of people who most of their members do nothing, they're not half well off.

It's funny how people question the royal family. Imagine if you grumbled about how much it cost to send the Prince around the country in luxury, but it was a few hundred years ago. You'd be imprisoned. It's the royals, they can do whatever the **** they want, even now.

I am no monarchist but it makes me laugh when Dave describes them as parasites yet supports benefit scroungers and immigrants whose only skill is to hold their hand out.

She gets a hand out yes but also pays tax as does Charlie boy it is the other hangers on who like you all I dislike. As for immigrants back quite aways in my ancestry are Italians so are you Black Toffee fully descended from Celtic stock. Don't throw stones etc etc.
Now Dave as for the immigrants, sure many had skills to offer which we were glad to have but the bulk of immigrants (legal,illegal, asylum) have no skill;s to offer but took advantage of this governments open door policy to let everyone in to make this country multi racial, multi cultural and look where their policy got us. But of course Dave as this was a major failing/blunder of this government you will want to gloss over that and return to accusations of the Tories sending blacks back. There are still immigrants backed up in their thousands over in France desperate to get in here. I wonder why?
