Not so bad. Spurs are very very good, and we're only behind to a goal from nothing by a top striker. We are still in this, with a few slight changes. Even though Spurs have been excellent, we've created a few chances and got some crosses in. Find a way to get Funes off only because he's been booked and could pick up a second yellow..Holgate perhaps on for him so its easy to go three at the back if necessary. And Lookman, Valencia or Mirallas on for Barry. Could mean a heavier defeat, or could be a win against the odds. Personally I'd put Lookman on, but for some reason I think Valencia could get some joy down the right. A draw would be a great result here...win isn't impossible.

they are pressing up on our fuullbacks to stop us playing out, if koeman does not bring on holgate and switch to a 3 i am worried.

The biggest problem is that once we get the ball, we're not able to keep possession because their pressing is so good and too many of our players can't play quick one-two passes in tight spaces. That's how they're generating their offense. Them building up in possession hasn't been much of a problem to deal with.

If they play as higher defensive line and press as much second half we definitely have a chance here.
Lookman / Miralles on to give us 2 options in behind, and then it only takes 1 quality run & pass to get us in behind.
We do that and they will have to drop off giving us more of a foothold in the game.

Also can't stand Jamie Redknapp, the hatred for us is so blatant and it drips out his mouth and down his stupid skinny tie every time he has to talk about us. Idiot

He wasnt very good but he laid of the only good ball to Lukaku in the first half .Unlucky that Lukaku still is is on his holidays. Perhaps we could swap Lukaku for Kane?

Kane is a more complete striker than Rom imo , but Lukaku has had no service or support and that's tough against any team but Spurs defence is statistically the best in the league

This is Everton though. Other teams can go to these grounds and make games of it. We go and at every single one it's men v boys. We can't even lay a glove on average Liverpool Spurs or Arsenal sides. We have a group of players who have lost the game before they even get on the team bus such is the ingrained mentality.

this spurs team isn't average.

I don't think it's right to blame Koeman for this, Robles on the other hand has always been vulnerable from long range efforts.
Yes and if you give a hot striker that room with a static ?Barry stood blocking his view yes any keeper would be vunarable!
Ghana also never tracked Kane back too much room to give Kane that room no closing down by two players pathetic!

Barry has slept through that 1st half, should've closed Kane down quicker and I think his inclusion has unbalanced the midfield, I'd sub him off for Mirallas and have a 3 of Gueye, Schneiderlin and Davies

mate they've spent about £700m over the last 5 or so years on about 30 attackers.

suarez, benteke, carroll, mane, coutinho, firminho, sturridge, origi, markovic ... i could go on and on. We've never had those resources, and we've only just started building our project and that starts with solidity at the back. We have valencia, kone, niasse, lookman and mirallas as our backups. It's easier said than done tbh, we don't have the players to do that.
doesn't matter what they have spent over the years we still start with 11 men just like them.We have good players but not the same mentality as they expect to beat Spurs/Arsenal,Chelsea away whereas we try not to lose and it never works. The Anfield derby is 4 weeks away but we have lost it already.
