Koeman usually has made it a point for players to close down. This has rarely happened to us this season and I'm disappointed that its against Tottenham. Very preventable.

I don't think it's right to blame Koeman for this, Robles on the other hand has always been vulnerable from long range efforts.

Hate say it but watch the RS at these big hard away games, they commit 7 or 8 men into the oppositions box and hence score plenty of goals at such venues. We hardly ever score at Anfield, Arsenal, Spurs etc because of our negativity.

mate they've spent about £700m over the last 5 or so years on about 30 attackers.

suarez, benteke, carroll, mane, coutinho, firminho, sturridge, origi, markovic ... i could go on and on. We've never had those resources, and we've only just started building our project and that starts with solidity at the back. We have valencia, kone, niasse, lookman and mirallas as our backups. It's easier said than done tbh, we don't have the players to do that.

I think defensively we can see 2 glaring problems. Mori and Baines are struggling. Erikson beating Baines in the air for the far post header. Baines defending the wrong side of Kane when he went one on one with Robles. Mori cannot pass the ball, Baines refuses to drive forward. Thought Robles could have done better with the goal and until that point we looked comfortable. Need Mirallas or Lookman on soon to help us with the out ball and give us a little pace. Spurs are a good team and are big and strong as well as good footballers. Think that's what we are striving for ourselves.

i don't know where barry was going. Kane hadn't touched the ball all match so his shot was more out of desperation and it was predictable, barry got in a good position and then for some reason ran further back and away and then the shot was straight through him.
