Anyone thinking we're getting top 6 whilst Barry is still in the side is in a dream world. Kante Dembele Pogba Fernandinho is the level, not 35 year old Gareth Barry.

Berry is so [Poor language removed] pathetic. And Robles is completely off his game. Ross is playing well off Davies. Those two, Coleman, schneid, and gaye are the only reason we are only down one.

Mori should be fined for every long ball he attempts.

We are playing 6 CMs today and its showing as they are all too close together and nobody is making space, yet Spurs are managing to find it.

We are not pressing as a team

I don't think it's right to blame Koeman for this, Robles on the other hand has always been vulnerable from long range efforts.

I actually think we could get back into this one. Barry needs to go at half for SuperKev.

It's pretty obvious we want to be playing long to Rom to neutralize the press. It'll work against these guys, too, but better quality needs to be there. Honestly, I'd even be happy with Holgate coming on and going to the back 5, even though we are down. Sub off Funes Mori around the 66th for Kev and switch it up again.

The problem here is that Spurs are up. They aren't going to sit back or anything, but they aren't going to push everything up and play a high line all half. But there were opportunities. Barry horribly missed a chip to Rom where a back put him well onsides, Coleman missed a Rom run with a longer ball that should have been played better, there are opportunities.

Man would this team be good though with a dominate CB and another attacking option behind Rom. Heck, even a true target play that Rom could run off of. Against this press, that would be golden. It'd be long balls all day, but it'd work.

Howler from Joel that for me, game looked pretty close until that point. After that Spurs got some energy but otherwise I don't think they have been all over us.

We play with 2 proper attackers (Rom and Ross) and it shows. An attacker needs to come on.

This is Everton though. Other teams can go to these grounds and make games of it. We go and at every single one it's men v boys. We can't even lay a glove on average Liverpool Spurs or Arsenal sides. We have a group of players who have lost the game before they even get on the team bus such is the ingrained mentality.

The most depressing thing about that first half, for me anyway, is that all the confidence I had for the upcoming derby has completely evaporated because what you say is 100% correct.

We have this shellacking to look forward too again at The Pit in three weeks time.

And then at OT a couple days later
