Mason and Bentaleb - a CM partnership made in heaven.

We are doing a decent job for a rubbish/lucky/crap/spawny (delete as approprite) team I suppose.

Not fun to watch but we are picking up results while Poch settled in.

Well we gave that one to you. First twenty minutes and it looked like it was going to be a long day for your lot. Then we just switched off, let you back in the game, and proceeded to have one of our two worst matches of the year (Palace at home being the other).

I guess if I was in your shoes, I'd take the three points all day long, especially if the other team just wants to hand them over.

I'm not saying Martinez is infallible and exempt from criticism but pipe down lads. It's frustrating when we loose because of the way we play.
Martinez is the man. Champions league will be at this club under him, with this team.. Do I sound crazy? Talk to me after Hull. One way or the other we will mount a serious champions league challenge, be it in league or Europa or both.
The Spurs game is brushed off my shoulders, I'm not but hurt by it, we will loose more. One week we are winning the league, the next 8th if we are lucky... Tarts.

Parking the bus for last 20 minutes at home is quite poor.

We were too shabite to break it down, like.

City are looking a lot better, and are a side with true quality. Chelsea is beyond doubt quality. But the other 18 teams are meh. Despite that, United will get 3rd (no Europe distractions), Arsenal 4th. I think Spurs are next best and in Poccettino finally have a manager who (despite the slow start at Spurs) will improve them over the next few seasons.
Spurs 5th best????? Based on what? 3 wins against 10 men? Southampton are far and away a better side. We should be as well but RM is having a Weston this season. So is Pochettino, who, contrary to what you say, will do nothing to improve Spurs to top 4 level. Check out his full managerial career.

Mustoe on NBC said that Everton were miles closer to challenging for fourth than Spurs are.

...and he isn't biased towards any club unlike the pundits you have in England.

Also: thought our work rate was poor. Spurs caused us problems with their closing down and getting multiple players around the ball, but we never did that.
Hit the nail on the head -- we don't hunt in packs. Every time there is loose possession the opposition are picking the ball up.

Got back home and not read any of this thread. But IMO we were far superior until they equalised and that knocked the stuffing out of us and we never recovered. 2 goals conceded from 2 mistakes. We're our own worst enemy at times.

Also, the ref was complete poo.

Disappointing considering how great we were against Wolfsburg.

However I feel we deserved a point and Spurs didn't really do better than us especially since they were at home. Lukaku, Eto'o, Barkley, Barry, Distin to name just a few who played poorly IMO and you could arguably put every player today onto that list.

And I believe that also, but Bobby got it wrong tactically today, our flanks offered nothing until Barkley moved inside and McGeady came on, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Lessons learnt today, balance the flanks with tried and tested partnerships, Pienaar/Baines, Mirallas/Coleman, and play barkley in his best postion at number 10 in the centre.
