Spurs cast offs

If 'Arry started Pavlencheko more he would have led the prem in goals. I'd love to have him.

Speaking of top dollar didn't they slap a 12M price tag on Bentley?????? HAHAHAHA!

I'm expecting him to put in another cheap-ass bid for Nev, only this time I could see him throwing in the rights to pay Keane 60K/week on loan as a favor. When this happens I could see Moyes driving down to London and ripping out his spine.

When I was in england I asked a Spurs fan how's Peanut working out for them. The 1st word out of his mouth was who?

Leon had a great end of season run in, but consistency is the problem, Kranjar I reckon would get more goals and assists than Osman and can pull something out of nowhere, if i was to choose it would be Kranjar.
Kranjcar is quite inconsistent. He can have his excuse that he's rarely playing for Spurs, but in Portsmouth you never knew when he will show up. Osman at least works hard every game, you won't get it from Kranjcar.
I've heard they're not going to sell Ibrahimovic when he comes back from his loan so I think they're pretty well covered in forward positions, they are however in trouble if Xavi and Iniesta are both injured, so i'd say signing Fabregas is pretty high on the ladder for them right now.
Not sure what is your source for La Liga news, but you defenitely need to stop reading it, if they are publishing this kind of bs on general basis. Deal for Ibrahimovic in in place since last summer, player doesn't want to come back to Barcelona, Guardiola (his big admirer) doesn't want him enymore and "Ibra" loves life in Milano.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think they will bring people in but I think they will spend carefully, rather than splashing out money on a £20+ million striker, for example. If their targets cost too much, they will look elsewhere.
Just a few days ago Spurs once again offered a big money (around 30m euros) for Llorente and once again they were rejected. They have an excellent team, except for centre forward position and they have a money to fix it. Plus, they are quite desperate to do it.

My boyfriend is a Spurs fan, so i watched more Spurs than Everton this season. There really isn't that much difference quality between their cast offs and some of their first team. Jenas is not rated by anyone, yet he and Palacios together are easily a top 6 quality CM pairing. There isn't that much difference between them and Huddlestone and Sandro. Huddlestone and Sandro only got in the team by taking their chances when the other 2 were injured. Most Spurs fans would easily rather have Kranjcar over Peanut. Hutton really isn't any worse than Corluka. Pavlyuchenko has a better striker rate than Darren Bent. There are bascically 5 or 6 real quality Spurs players who aren't needed and are perhaps under rated because they don't get into their side. If we sell Felli, I'd much rather we spent the money on Spurs cast offs than risking it on unproven talent from abroad or Championship players. There are plenty of players at Spurs who could improve us and are better quality than that which is found at the teams which will be our rivals next season. The Spurs cast offs are better than alot of the best players at the likes of Villa, Sunderland and Fulham.

Wait, you're an Everton fan?

I honestly thought you were a spurs fan on here to talk to us evertonians like the other occasional fans from other clubs we get on here.

Yes I'm and and Everton fan, but my boyfriend joined to ask a Spurs based question. I don't go on forums, but made the mistake of starting to read a few threads on here and then couldn't resist posting some supplies and since then have become a bit addicted. Technically I'm not joey55, I'm his girlfriend, but he only joined here to ask one question. I never actually intended to start posting myself, but it's hard not to at times if you start reading.

Hang on. What teams are you on about?

I expect Spurs to be our rivals next season. Doesn't anyone else?

i'd take bentley, palacios and pac-chenko. Realistically we would only get bentley out of them 3. Naughton can do one

Agreed that Leon will put in a shift, but my hope would be that with Felli and Rodwell starting as a pairing they might do the ground work and Kranjar (in a free role) to produce that killer pass/goal. Unfortunately we only have Arteta and Baines to rely on for creativity and Arteta didn't create much this season, odd flashes here and there, all in all I think Kranjar would improve us, Osman could still play, I wouldn't rule out playing them in the same starting 11.

Alan Hutton - Better than Hibbert
Pavylachenko - Good enough as a lone striker (dun see this happening)

If Moyes can bring Hutton over, i can see Phil moved to LB with Baines pushing for LM. That will solve our Left Side Atking issue
