Spurs cast offs

I doubt it, but it's not a million miles away. I think numero uno for Barca is Cesc.
With an emergence of Thiago and lack of progress for Bojan Rossi is much more important buy than Cesc, as he can cover all 3 forward positions for Barca. So he's the priority.

Do you think Krankjar offers anything more than Leon? - Personally I don't.

Leon had a great end of season run in, but consistency is the problem, Kranjar I reckon would get more goals and assists than Osman and can pull something out of nowhere, if i was to choose it would be Kranjar.

I've heard they're not going to sell Ibrahimovic when he comes back from his loan so I think they're pretty well covered in forward positions, they are however in trouble if Xavi and Iniesta are both injured, so i'd say signing Fabregas is pretty high on the ladder for them right now.

They couldn't afford Van der Vaart at £18m. I'm sure they will have done very well financially this season but, by the way they've been doing business, I don't think they're able to spend a lot of money. I think the offers for Adam and Neville were to try and mess with people, rather than because they wanted to bring players in. I can see them signing Foster, Van Nistelrooy, maybe one more senior player and a younger player.

They could easily afford to spend a fortune. They only made a £7 million loss last season and that was without selling any players or CL football. Without player trading last year they made a good profit. Player trading often scews things as it can make it seem as if a healthy business made or loss or a poor business made a profit. Spurs have assets that they didn't sell, hence the £7 million loss. But the players they have out on loan would easily fetch over £7 million and then there are the players who weren't on loan which they'd be happy to sell anyway. When you add the fact that this year they were in the CL, Spurs are going to have alot of money to spend. I'd be very suprised if they didn't smash their previous transfer records this summer. I'd expect to see them spend £50 million+ on new players.

I would have insisted on kyle naughton or walker in a straight swap piennar to be honest when that deal was made! We need a right back and both of them are better than what we have!

I find that very hard to believe - didnt he (or his agent) have a big row with Guardiola right after he left?

The highlighted ones are better than some we already have.

Pavylachenko - Would be quality alongside Beckford
Hutton and Naughton - Better than Hibbert
Bentley - Good addition to our right side, good deliveries
Palacios - Defensive midfielder, tough tackler, could free up Fellaini to play as more of a box to box midfielder
Krancjar - Creative midfileder, out wide or behind a striker
O`Hara - I think this guy is very under rated, box to box midfielder with an eye for a goal
Dos Santos - Plays on both wings, good creative player and has a bit of pace about him

I`m liking the look of what our new team would look like...................

Howard

Hutton Jags Heitinga Baines

Palacios

Fellaini Arteta

Bentley . . . . . . . . . . . Dos Santos

Pavylachenko

You got most of them right except the one in bold. There is no way in God's green earth that Alan Hutton is a superior player to Tony Hibbert. None at all. Offensively or defensively.

EVERY TIME I've seen Hutton play, he's been close to unplayable. Preseason here in the States then regular season with Spurs.

No chance I'd want Hutton in an Everton shirt, even if we got him on a free or they PAID US to take him.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I think they will bring people in but I think they will spend carefully, rather than splashing out money on a £20+ million striker, for example. If their targets cost too much, they will look elsewhere.

How about Crouchy??? A different dimension up front and has always scored goals wherever he's been. Might work well with Beckford

There's not a player, in or around the first team at Spurs that i wouldn't have at Everton.
